Christopher Maloney should be admired.
Every week he gets criticised by the judges, the producers have been trying for a couple of weeks now to get rid of him, biased presenter in Caroline Flack and getting booed by the audience.
And yet this is the guy who got through via the public voting. He was originally not in Garys 3 acts and then was given the wild card. He has earned his place on the show more than anyone else and yet gets treated like shit as if he has no right to be on the show. A wild card act has a chance of winning, he should be congratulated for the achievement of making the final 5. |

I think he should be defended too. What X Factor don't realise is that the reason people are voting for him is because of X Factor's hatred towards him. Also people are just pissed off with the show and are now voting for the least favourite.
I hate this program and cannot wait for it to disappear for good off our screens. |

Yes, he gets the worst treatment, and there are people connected to the show who make their feelings very clear. I agree that's not always appropriate. But I just can't bring myself to feel angry or upset for him. Look at how it affects him - he's not exactly crying into his pillow every night is he? If anything it makes him more smug and arrogant. He's thriving on being the panto villain and sets out to win the sympathy vote by banging on about the impact on MeNan. He's a thoroughly unlikeable man and for me there's no redeeming feature. I don't like his voice, his look, his act and his personality. I'm genuinely baffled by his unwavering popularity. If he really is connecting with the public, fair play, but for me it's just one big whooosh.

When is the last time he mentioned his nan? I just hope this isn't some sort of myth in regards to his nan.

Sick of hearing him sing, sick of hearing him speak in that God-awful accent and soooooo sick of having to look at him. Can't abide liars at any price. The audience's boos get louder every week he remains. ![]()

His votes are protest votes. It is a message saying get rid of X Factor or we will keep voting for him.

He's not my cup of tea but people that seem to hate the guy really need to reassess their lives!
It's a Saturday night popcorn telly programme but some losers whip themselves up to such a frenzy about it that they show animosity that should really be reserved for war criminals or vicious dictators. It really is laughable!! Ultimately who REALLY cares? If this bloke won would your life be ultimately worse off? I find it all fascinating even though I haven't been a fan of a single act in the history of the show. |

Chris, 34, said: “The way I have been portrayed is completely false. It’s not how I am and it’s not fair. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/enterta...-chief-1442723
“I am the opposite of a diva. I spent most of my life doing shopping for my nan. “I feel like some of the other contestants are getting preference over me and there’s a lot of favouritism. “It seems that underhand tactics are being used to paint a false picture of me and sway the public vote. “I know there are people in this competition – like James Arthur and the boy bands – who the bosses would prefer to win over me.” “I feel a bit like the people’s champion. |

And you just hoped that the MeNan borefest could be a myth! That interview is a prime example of it.

He just turns up and sings every week now, gets slated by the judges except Gary (but even then, I do think Gary could defend him a bit more) and still gets the public vote.
He got more votes than Ella or James. |

And his votes just go up. Keep it up is what I say to the people who boo him. He is the peoples champion.
Do you really think he is that popular when the majority of the GBP detest him, the other contestants dislike him, the XFactor audience hate him and the production team can't abide him. They can't all be wrong! If you genuinely think the votes he is getting are real, I pity you! |

Now come on, are you really that naive? It's well known that apart from Christopher, his Nan and a handful of the deluded, the voters are just those sticking two fingers up to Simon Cowell.

Whilst Christopher is not my cup of tea - I hate the way he's being treated. What's happening to him represents what's annoying about the show now; in that despite all of Simon's 'I trust the public' waffle, the show clearly doesn't and never has. (whether they are protest votes or not
)As annoying as it was that James and Ella found themselves in the bottom two (because I like both) - the judges reaction to it was wrong. In general, the public don't like being told who they should be voting for - and it makes the show seem even more pointless than it currently is. It was clear from early on that the show wanted a Jahmene, Ella, James final - even Tulisa mentioned these three very early on on Xtra factor. |

Doesn't matter why they are voting, the fact is they are voting.
If he won, he would be the most undeserving winner of all time. |

I don't admire him at all, I am not saying he can't sing, as he can, but he wont be the next big thing, sell millions of Albums, go on tour and sing for millions of fans, if he wins, he will be a one hit wonder and be dropped within months, he will be another Leon/Steve.

Chris would be the all-time greatest XF winner ever - they will keep trying to destroy his vote. Their tactics are transparent & what they did to him on Saturday night was a brutal assassination attempt.
Could list at least 10 techniques they used to kill his vote. It's distasteful & a win for Chris would be the ultimate 'f*ck you' to Cowell & his henchmen. Have the latest negative press stories started appearing yet this week? |

I don't get the hate for him to be honest. what is he meant to have done? Is he Satan reincarnated. Tulisa could not hide her distaste for him on Saturday night she sat there with a face like a slapped arse whilst he was singing and didn't even try to hide the fact that she was bored. Maybe there are people out there who like his singing, maybe all of Liverpool are voting for him, just like a lot of Essex are probably voting for Rylan. Maybe people are voting to stick two fingers up at Cowell but how is any of that Christopher's fault. He has as much right to be there as any of them. The audience booing was pathetic.
Maybe people found Ella dull(I know I did, she ruined that Grease song on Saturday and her save me song was off in parts), maybe Tulisa's bad press didn't help Ella get the votes, maybe Tulisa's treatment of Christopher backfired. Maybe people are sick of seeing Tulisa's smug face, thinking she has it all sewn up. |

So it's almost like a Rage Against the Machine campaign? That makes more sense to me than people actually liking him.
