The reason people like me want Rylan or Chris to win.
This is a stupid show that isn't worth taking seriously, yet people seem to go on like it's the end of the world. I was laughing when Rylan and Chris got through yesterday, and I've been happy watching their progress.
I'd rather one of these two win, just because it's entertaining seeing everyone go mad. |

I kind of agree with you. I used to watch XF because I saw it as a singing competition with the objective of finding a recording star.
Over the years it's become fuzzy with the inclusion of novelty acts/people who have no chance of a recording career and/or are there because they're 'entertaining'. This year is probably the worst example of the decline of XF. I do think it's funny that people like Rylan and Christopher could well make the final, but that's not the XF I want to see - we've got BGT for that. Maybe it's reached the end of the road and needs to go. |

I'd like them to draw, just to rub it in

i think things like ella's elimination are the reason a lot of people watch this show! if the obvious thing happened every week it would be boring!

The more they try to get rid of Christopher, the more I want him to stay.

The show has become all about the judges/mentors. Don't like that aspect of it.
I want Rylan or Chris to win (with the other in 2nd place) just so that the whole thing gets a shake-up. |

I begin to wonder why people are being forced to watch this show. If it is indeed the shambles that it is then there must be something else on the telly on a Saturday which could be less infuriating.
Does every show that you don't like need to be sabotaged? I can only imagine the outrage if people didn't like Last of the Summer wine, Doctor who or something else? What other creative ideas could they come up with to derail them. Honestly this insistence that the show needs to be destroyed because people don't like it is a bit tiring when the obvious solution is to just steer clear. It is also obvious that people just want to hack other people off for some masochistic pleasure I will never understand. |

I find it pathetic if people are voting for those they don't like just to derail the show. I would vote a positive vote for Rylan because I like him and want to continue to see him and no other reason.

I'd rather one of these two win, just because it's entertaining seeing everyone go mad. I stopped taking XF seriously when Lord Cowell had the power to send Jedward home (whom he had criticised mercilessly), but sent it to deadlock, meaning that they got saved by the public. From the point on, I've viewed XF as a minor joke & a shambles & it deserves a winner like Rylan. |

The annual crowing about claims of being subversive in relation to a Saturday night family entertainment show is pretty amusing. Especially if you're putting money into the coffers to do so.

It's the producers & the people at the top, like Simon Cowell that are destroying XF, not the people who are voting for the likes of Rylan.
If people didnt have the opportunity to vote for the joke acts, by , you know, not putting them in the live shows, this couldnt happen. Week 1 Rylan was in the bottom 2, they chucked out a decent singer to save him. No point moaning he is still there ahead of decent singers now. This was always coming, purely because the trick has been done so many times before, Jedward, wagner et al, that at some point, the public were not going to play nicely, and would carry on voting for them when the show wanted rid. The obsession with 'entertainment' value of people who cant sing from the show itself caused this. Good singers can have the big productions and have the same entertainment value as poor ones, with the benefit of having a decent sound to go with the visuals, the two are not mutually exclusive. |

This is all their own making & I just can't see the point in anybody berating the voters. They are just playing the game; a game set in motion by the producers. |

The people saying they don't like Maloney but hope he wins because it's a corrupt/stupid show etc. and it would be funny - need to realise how annoying it would be if he did.
Obviously there are certain winning acts Cowell doesn't bother getting behind - and he would be one of them. He would probably have to be given his recording contract, but nothing more - he would be dropped and made to go away as soon as legally possible. What would happen then is that he would WHINE IN THE PRESS about how unfair it is, Syco not getting behind him, that he is the peoples' champion etc. It might seem like a good idea now, but he would be completely insufferable. Having said all that, I don't believe he can win - even if they don't pull some voting twist before the end, if he's in the last two, there will be a massive voting surge for whoever the other person is - even if it's Rylan. |
