This is what is wrong with society!

Women do not support women

They vote from between their legs constantly!

One dimension #2, Roland and the AntiChris should never never never have goitten anywere near the live shows!

All male finale AGAIN

What is it that makes women so enamoured with guys?

Why can they do no wrong?

Why is the sense of sisterhood gone! Carolynne, Melanie, Jade, ella! FAR FAR FAR superior talents to what is left yet theyve all fell by the way side!

THE BIGGEST JOKE of a series ever!

Wow. That's some kind of neat trick.

It's always been like this on X Factor. If you look at the top 3 from the 9 series, only 6 out of 27 have been female. Most of the acts get to the latter stages by default because they have a penis.

I'd like a seperate contest for male and female singers.

The producers are mainly to blame for all the girls going because they voted them all off the second they hit the bottom 2.

I don't think it's really people voting for the guys they fancy- more like voting for the "nice guys" who's records they will never buy.

I must inform my partner that she is able to vote from between her legs. Im sure she would have a lot of fun trying to press the buttons that way.

women shouldnt vote for acts just because they are women.

2) women aren't the only voters.

If its an all male final, its an all male final. Tulisa has shown her self to be inept when it comes to mentoring acts without the input of other judges.

And carolynne poole just was never going to have the fanbase.

Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke won comfortably and Little Mix also won and I highly doubt all the votes received for these female acts were just from men.

Yes, indeed. It is true that some women have internalised sexism but many haven't.

Crikey is that on a par with those women who fire ping pong balls from their nether regions? It's a good trick whichever way you look at it LOL!

Females are capable of winning, sure, but they have to be exceptional, or exceptionally managed, in order to do so.

I don't think it's a conscious thing from women ("I don't want this pretty, talented woman to win, so I'm going to vote for the bland, average man instead") but I do think it's ingrained in female voters that male singers have more to offer, for whatever reason, even though the current music scene really doesn't relect that.

At this stage of the competition last year there was only one man left in IIRC.

The only female artist I ever liked was Kate Bush (I do like Leona Lewis now) but all the other albums I have are by males. It's fun to fancy your heroes you know. Love songs sung by a man, or heartfelt lyrics from a man - it makes more sense for a woman.
Carolynne Poole was a poor man's Shania Twain. We don't 'get' country music in the UK. Melanie was screeching in an OTT fashion and Jade was unremarkable to the extreme.

Surely saying 'Women dont support women. They vote from between their legs constantly' is in itself unsupportive to women.

I dont vote in these things but would vote for who I liked the most and wanted to hear sing more often, regardless of their sex.

I normally prefer male artists.

The exceptions being..........all the 'oldies' ie Diana Ross, Martha Reeves, Gladys Knight, Janis Joplin (you get the drift)

I do love listening to Heather Small, Charlene Spittari (?) Adele, Amy Winehouse (bless her).

I prefer male opera singers too, I'm really not the Katherine Jenkins type at all.

I'm a woman that prefers women singers...which is why I've decided not to watch any further seasons of XFUK. I'll be doomed to be constantly annoyed as all the women drop like flies due to not being male! The male contestants don't have to be that good to get tons of votes, which is probably why I'm not that interested in them.

Just because a woman votes for a man doesn't mean she is voting based on looks.
Look at our current top 5, maybe the boy-band is getting votes for their looks but I don't think this is the case for the other four. I'm not saying they are all ugly but they are hardly conventionally attractive to the point where they would gain a large fan base based on looks alone.

And just for the record I've never voted for anyone male or female.

Rubbish.

I would have supported Melanie straight through to the final.

That's true; of the males that have won, none of them have been the best looking of the other males that year. I don't think females tend to vote for simply who they fancy, but for whatever reason they're more likely to be won over by an average male than they are by an above-average female. I think it's just ingrained in a lot of female voters that male acts are more interesting and more worthy of support. God knows why.

Edit: I think a lot of it also has to do with how certain female acts are portayed by the show and the media. Their image is more likely to be deliberately provocative or 'sexy', and this has a knock-on effect on how a lot of people see female acts as a collective. Male contestants are rarely portrayed in this way.
