Rylan has now received more votes than James, Union J and not forgetting Ella at some stage in the last two weeks, so could he potentially now make the final or possibly even win? We don't know how he is squaring up against Christopher and Jahmene, but if his rocketing popularity translates into votes we could be onto something special.

I've been voting for Rylan and will continue to do so. I just love him. Apart from James Arthur he's the only contestant I would actually pay to go see.

Voting is all over the place this year. You could also argue that Union J beat James and Ella, although I doubt they'll beat him in the final rankings.

When is it down to the viewers vote COMPLETELY. At this rate I can see a bottom 2 in the final.

Looking back at my OP I didn't word it in the best of ways, but I meant he got more votes than James and Ella last night and the week before he got more than Union J.

We only know Ella was bottom and James was 5th, nothing else.

For all we know UJ topped and Rylan was 4th.

Even if you worded it correctly its still not great... James (and indeed Ella) got more than him the 2 weeks he was bottom 2; same with UJ...

so there's nothing to say Rylan is any more popular or going to make it through than anyone else

Yeah, but I really think he has turned a corner in the last two weeks, especially since his Spice Girls' performance. He has really seen his popularity rocket sky high in the last couple of weeks, so it could be a game of two halves.

To have a completely new bottom 2 at this stage in the competition suggests that there isn't much between Rylan, James and Union J (as well as Ella).

It appears that Jahmene and Christopher may be shoe ins for the final especially as voting leaks have said that all along, the question is who joins them? Sadly if they don't want Rylan in the final and he makes it through next week, they'll bring back the semi final sing off. But I do think Rylan will be gone this week. James will get the bottom 2 boost leaving a Rylan v Union J sing off.

It's definitely possible, especially if all of his fans power vote from now onwards. He's done amazingly well to come this far, I'm very proud, but to make the finale would seriously be incredible after everything. & For him to perform his dream duet with one of his idols would be lovely.
