Well, I wouldn't have put it quite so bluntly lol but that was my immediate thought when A and D said they were exempt.

IAC needs a balance of young and older contestants or else it just becomes a 'yoof' show. With age comes increasing medical problems which may mean some cannot participate in all the trials. However some of the older celebs do bring other things to the show like a fund of stories, wit, and other qualities,........if it was just young celebs then everything would revolve around make-up, heat and lads mags( generalisation, I know). Rosemary did stay all night in the rat and bug infested hut, and stayed the longest in the bug box, so it is not as if she is not participating in camp life. Young Helen refused to do a number of trials which were not particularly physically challenging!

Not doing trials and its just Celeb BB.

You should not win if you cant or wont do any trials

If Rosemary wasn't in there, they'd all starve. I'm sure that's a reasonable trade-off for not being able to do some of the trials. Colin is a lot more interesting to listen to than Hugo. As someone else said, it's better to get a good age range, with different outlooks, otherwise you just get a bunch of youngsters preening and bitching at each other when the going gets tough.

OMG! Is Rosemary only 60, I'm older than that and I thought that she was older than me! Agree this is one of those occasions where size actually is important, lol. The strain of the xtra timber they are carrying and the exertions of the task might cause their health to be at risk! So exemption would seem to be sensible in this case.
same as Biggins was 'exempt' for many trials. I think he only did one the whole time. Imo, if you re not fit enought to attempt all the trials, you shouldn't be in there.
Exactly, well said!

I for one am glad that the likes of Colin and Rosemary are in the camp. Could you imagine a show with six Hugos and six Helens???

If it's any consolation, the way the public have voted so far probably would have meant Colin and Rosemary wouldn't have been picked...unless there are some sick people who wanted to see if they would get stuck!

But perhaps they are fit enough, it is just the design of the trail that means their fatness excludes them.

When they sign up, they don't know how the trials will be designed. It was obviously news to Colin and Rosemary that they were excluded on this one. Both of them seem game and I'm sure would have done the trial quite happily if they had been voted to do it ( but they very likely wouldn't have been anyway).

If the TPTB at IACGMOH see fit to include fat people in the line up, it is up to them to ensure they are not excluded from a trial. If pipes are too small for them, I don't think that is Colin or Rosemary's fault - make the pipe a bit wider and allow all the celebs to be voted for - I'm sure Colin & Rosemary would prefer it that way. Plus I bet that if they had done the trail they would each make more of an effort and get more stars than Helen did in her first few trials, fat or not

But how many will Colin and Rosemary do now that they are choosing themselves. I would say zero. Its probably not their fault but older unfit types tend to get an easier time

The trials will just be done by David, Ashley, Charlie and probably Hugo

No - they will each do a trial - that's always been the case - even the oldies & fatties get given a go.

I think they'll choose the ones who are most likely to get the food because they've been so hungry this year.
