Helen bush tucker trials have been edited so they don't starve the camp. Has anyone notice that?

In what way?

She seemed to complete the Deadly Delivery and the live trial without any conspicuous editing.

Yep i noticed. I think she got a lot of extra help and time to do the trials

Editing? On a TV show? Whatever next?

You'll notice that the live trial lasted for 30 minutes. You'll also notice that it took 10 or less when it was shown the next day. How did you think they managed to compress 30 minutes into 10 without editing?

They also edit down the 24 hours in camp to 40 minutes. That's how ITV manage to show other programmes throughout the day.

I did notice in the diving trial that there was nothing in the second dome with her.

I think the OP means that the actual trial was changed, rather than editing of the footage. Maybe I'm wrong!

You can't prove that they did make the trials easier for Helen. I think Deadly Delivery seemed like a pretty standard trial. In past series some of the challenges have been easier than others. They would also have se up and planned the trials in advance so any changes would be minor.

Also there were a couple large crabs in the second dome with Helen.

Wasn't there one dome with nothing in it that they could just go in to catch their breath?

That was the one they could go to to catch their breath between domes with creatures in them.

I think that ITV are trying to engineer a Helen win as they've got an ITV2 Channel Career mapped out for her.

In the replay? Would you rather they spent half an hour replaying the whole thing?

Obviously things are edited but I agree with the OP in this instance it was edited to hide the fact Helen either got much longer for her trial and or was given assistance. Surely everyone has to admit her change from refusing to entertain doing anything at all to almost happily giving it a go and finishing rather quickly indicates something went on and I think editing was part of this.

In the live trial? You do realise you can't edit a live broadcast don't you? She suddenly did better because it was all an act.

I think it's likely that there were no time limits on her deadly delivery trial, there may have been if it had been anyone else doing it.

Hey ho though, she did it, and I'd rather watch the few minutes of editing, than the whole thing with added talking her into it, for the same result. She's not the entire show.

It isn't live. There is a delay. Having said that I was talking about the one previously when she suddenly became able to do trials. I agree she is acting but I am definite editing was used to her advantage.

Every trial is edited not just hers.

For emergency bleeping / cut aways, there's nowhere enough of a delay to edit assistance, hesitance out.

Ahh, I've missed an episode here and there (not really enjoyed this series so far, mostly down to Helen), didn't see it.

Exactly. Never let the facts get in the way of an opportunity of a cheap dig. It was the same last night when they showed the h/l's of the live task people complaining abour her getting extra cover when in fact they do the same every year apparantly.

So you're suggesting none of them do the trial fairly and squarely and the editing makes it look like they do Could be something in that.
