UK viewers can learn something from this (X Factor Australia FINAL spoilers included)
The winner of X Factor Australia was just announced. The winner of the show was in the bottom two in weeks 1, 5 and 7. From this we can learn that anyone really can win the UK show.
Go Rylan! |

If they should learn anything it should that it should be all about the talent.
Not vote on joke acts to get back @ Simon or whatever the reason is. Support music

So you are claiming Rylan has absoultely no talent 'in any shape or form' at all?
![]() I replied to what I think U.K viewers should take in if they're watching the Oz XF. Vote for the one you think is best, not for someone you don't like just to tick someone else off. |

I misunderstood your post, sorry. Well I love Rylan but I have done since his first audition, and Im not going to support Chris just to get back at the judges (although I am starting to feel sorry for him because he can actually sing.)

I'm so glad Sammy won, she thoroughly deserved to. She would never have been able to do that on the UK show. Once she was in the bottom 2 the first week she would have been seen as disposable and the producers and judges would have given up on her.

I think Bella had the most talent on X Factor Australia, but will admit she didn't improve her performance weekly like Samantha did.
IMHO that was Ella's problem, great singer, but lacked charisma and performance skills. |

And the boyband ends 3rd just like 1D, and the boy that never was in the B2 ends second. That just dont make sense to me.

Last week gained Sammy her votes. I think she is going to be fine with the exposure she got.

To be fair Samantha improved week on week, she's a true star to be honest and grew so much. Her performance of Heartless absolutely blew meaway.

Aw I like Samantha, we've never really had a female like that, except maybe Alexandra, the women that do well are always ballad singers

I am soooooooooooooooo glad Sammi won! She was absolutely fantastic and should never have been in the bottom 2 in the first place. She's a sweet girl and very humble and her vocals are amazing. I think she became front runner when she rang 'Heartless' as that was phenomenal but she's always been brill IMO, loved her performances of Usher's 'Scream' and the Scripts 'Break even'. I think she'll do really well and become a megastar with the right guidance

The vote splitting thing is why I think Union J are now being underestimated by people, with District 3 gone. |

Sammy winning is amazing, such an underdog story <3
I love how the winning catergories for down under and here are so flipped, they have Over-25s and Groups doing a lot better while we have had pretty much Boy/Girl winners for seven years till Little Mix. |

Sammy winning shows how underestimated her talent was at first- and how the shows production can make a big difference, in providing enough exposure and backstory to give viewers a tangable insight into the contestants personalities. When Sammy began to have her turn around in final 6, it was also the week that you could noticably get the sense that the show was really making an effort to let viewers get to know her better (she was the first one to have the "contestant spotlight" video leading back in to the show after commercial around final 6 week- and I don't think she was ever in the bottom 2 again in the final weeks).... I remember thinking it was the first time you really got a sense of how genuine she is, which in turn allows her talent to become more appreciated. Then after a few weeks, she
regained confindence is what gave her the edge. So the other takeaway is the impact confidence has. I think she should have a strong career (her winners song is not my type of music, but I could definitly hear in being a hit on the radio), and her winning made for a good narrative for their show in many ways. It will be interesting to see if The Collective have much success after the show (which I think there is a chance of). And without a doubt Bella will have a big future. |
