steve has done tonnes of interviews this week, and for the comment about simon carrying him through this interview, utter bullshit. steve has managed fine on his own for the past god knows how many - GMTV, this morning, TRL etc. simon was prob only there to get the ratings up! steve AND simon! excellent viewing

FS always takes the p*ss out of all his guests. The way to play the game is to let him do it and laugh at yourself. That way you come out of it looking like a good sport. Steve and Simon are mature enough to understand that. They understand that it's the fools who try to take FS on at his own game who come out looking like prats.

Damn, this forum is nasty. I'm not really a fan of Steve but i thought he came across as very down to earth and able to laugh at himself. He obviously doesn't take things too seriously, unlike some people on this thread.

I know what you mean. I haven't seen Steve interviewed before (just singing on X Factor and he seemed fine doing that, which is all that matters really ) and I didn't think he was coming across all that well - he seemed a bit 'weak' (for want of a better word). He's definately got an odd laugh too - as Frank pointed out. Still, I'm sure he'll get his interview technique sorted though, and he seems a decent enough bloke.

You are right he did well on the show, considering he is not used to this interviewing lark yet. You don't have to be a fan to have enjoyed that, it was good imho I think some had decided to come on the thread to slate Steve no matter what though.

It seems everyone enjoyed the interview, it's interesting that both pro and anti steve camps found it hilarious for different reasons! As a neutral I found it very funny as well!

urm, i think u will find that steve fans DID realise he was tkaing the piss! its funny, they took it well and came across really well, despite all the jokes made on steves part!
