I wasn't trying to be nasty - I was just being honest - much like Simon Cowell claims to be - I thought he came across really badly - and if I'm not allowed to say that without getting jumped on, it's a very sorry day indeed and I can see why people are deciding they've had enough and are leaving this forum

- Frank came over as if he genuinely liked both Simon and Steve - all the jibes were well meaning and the whole interview was a hoot.

We all agreed an end to it because alot of people were getting fed up of all the arguments.

I think the fact that a good natured thread for fans of Steve to comment on his appearence on the show has been turned into yet another Steve bashing opportunity is what is annoying people here. I'm sure most people here are sick of arguments and negativity ALL the time.

One of Sharon's complaints about Steve was that he took the p*ss continually backstage whilst Louis and Sharon wanted their acts to be very serious. I would say FS interview would have appealled enormously to Steve's sense of humour.
Whether the piss was being taken or not all three of them seemed to be enjoying the interview

Sorry - I didn't realise it was exclusively for Steve fans to comment on - the title of the thread is Steve & Simon on tonight's Frank Skinner show - I watch the show most weeks, being a big Frank Skinner fan, so if people are talking about it, why shouldn't I be allowed to contribute?
I didn't mean it to be a Steve bashing - but a few other people on here thought he came across badly as well

Looking at the first post of this thread it doesn't look like it was set up for fans of Steve, it is a factual post that Steve would be appearing.
Is it really unusual that people came to this thread to post their opinions of the interview, good or bad? I wouldn't post a negative comment on a contestants 'team' thread but on other threads I will give my opinion to further a discussion, that is the point of forums isn't it?
Another thread ruined, by people who cannot just give their opinion - they have to repeat it all the way through the thread, completely ruining the topic. Well dont anyone say I didnt try. I've tried to be nice.

totally agree with you there i think both simon and steve enjoyed it
One of the criticisms aimed at him by Louis and Sharon was that he was over confident.It came across as though he's a nice guy who had a good sense of humour and a lot of respect for both Simon an F S.

You lot honest to god, Frank was taking the piss, but you all missed the high spot, the craic about Simon and profit and extentions being built and taking money out of the africans mouthes that was the craic, he did a grand job and SC admitted he may not get to number one! did yer all miss that bit then. gawd yer is sad. Frankie just had the time of his life and I thinks yer all missed it. interview it was a masacre by Frankie he had a ball, and why are yer saying g4 fans I aint I am a tabs fan but they just got a roasting, well simple simon did, OLD Stevie hardly said much he giggled like a girl ,but he werent too bad. but Frankie really got the point across profit or starving peeps. and he took the pee out of g4 to put them off guard he is sooooooooooooooooo clever mateys yer just didnne see it did yer others did but mabye them OLD Stevie fans missed the pooint, and he even mentioned like me the OLD GAWD did yer miss Simple even said BUY both he was not happy yer dont see it yer all blind me thinks now
