Samantha Jade won X Factor Australia today, and became the first female to win the title, in that country. She seems to have a great image and sound, and is a great performer. I think she could stand a good chance of being launched in the UK similar to Cher Lloyd and One Direction being brought over to Australia. Do you guys agree.

Samantha is good, I see Australia vote on talent out there, good for them. She wouldn of been out of the XF weeks ago if she was on our XF.

Dunno about being launched, but her stuff may become avaliable on itunes (UK)... Reece Mastin's stuff is (although he is from the UK, so there may have been some form of demand)

I always thought that Reece would be launched in the UK, as well as Jessica Maubouy and Guy Sebastian

I think she will, she was featured on David Guetta's I Need You Now, which was on some versions of his One Love album, and he's popular over here! Also, some of Samantha's songs are on UK iTunes, like the Step Up theme.

I'm ecstatic that Samantha Jade won. Wasn't too keen on her at first, I liked The Collective up until midway and then I started supporting her. Definitely potential to be an international star, with the right material behind her. I don't know about being launched here in the UK, but her music might do well without any promotion who knows??

Yeah it's a moot point in that as far as I know we've never had an Xfactor winner or contestant from abroad on the UK version but certainly Cher has been to the Ukrainian version and Australia (last month - went down a storm too) and I think ID have too. Chers doing the US version this Thursday.

Would be interesting to get an away team visit so to speak to compare.

Our acts are exported a lot, for example Little Mix were on the Aussie version as well as the obvious Cher and especially 1D. I can't see why Samantha couldn't be big here with a push, but then I've said that with Jessica Mauboy too and she's sadly just got a soft release and not the whole push.
