MP3 / MP4 players

Have you noticed how uncommon these gadgets have become? Obviously, this is partially due to the introduction of the tablet. I would still have thought that, due to the affordability of an mp3 player, it would still be relatively easy to purchase one from a choice of players. About 51/2 years ago now, I bought an archos MP4 player and would never buy this brand again. Although I can listen to music via my samsung galaxy ace, it eats up battery power, so I would like to get a cheap mp3 player but, apart from a couple of options, there is not much out there.

they had 8GB version on amazon black friday sale today for £30. Really good sound quality but you do need 3rd party earphones.

I had the original Sansa Clip and very tempted to get the Zip, the original is a great little player. Agree with getting new head phones though.

I got an 8gb Zip which I was going to use as my back up to my 32gb A series Sony

I added a 32gb card so now got a 40gb player for £50. It's so easy to carry around and the clip function is so useful that its now my main player

I have had a Sony Walkman MP3 4GB for over three years. Superb sound reproduction, try this from Argos. Essential to get good quality in ear headphones
