Meanwhile, NBC had a really disastrous night. They placed 7th (tie) among both broadcast and cable networks and only 0.1 point ahead of The CW in the important 18-49 demo!!!!!! NBC tied with TBS and was overtaken by the NFL network (football), Univision and TNT!!!!! And yes, ALL their lineup last night were new episodes. To be fair, The Office wasn't there. The lineup consisted of the final two episodes of Up All Night in single camera format (their switch to multi-camera format still baffles me), gameshow Take It All and Rock Center. Still, that is really pathetic for NBC and broadcast network. It is pretty much like saying E4, BBC Three and Sky1 overtaking ITV1. Won't be surprised if that ever happened!!!!
Just looking at next weeks schedule, what has gone wrong with bbc ones schedule, in fact the whole of autumn has been bad. Take next week for example, the only programme I want to watch from the 9pm slot on bbc one is hignfy. This has been frequent this autumn, and I'm one to favour the beeb!

Does Text Santa really justify three hours of ITV peak-time on Friday and moving the news back to 11 pm ? It was hardly a roaring success last year.
Sorry I can't find the info or know if it's easily accessible, but I'm curious as to whether viewing figures for Derren Brown's recent shows dropped significantly after the first two arguably unsatisfying ones aired. Can anyone help?

Bit of a quiet night all round, with Corrie re-establishing its supremacy over EE following Thursday's blip.
The only stand-out number, as always tends to be the case is Peter Kay. Talk about repeat value... they could get away with repeating him for weeks on end.

Poor ratings for the Military awards. Now that IaC is over, Itv ratings are back down to their low levels this week. This got 4.5mill last year but a lot of people aren't even giving Itv1 channel a look in these days compared to previous years hence their drop in ratings for most things. Tonights ratings should be interesting.

all channels ratings are down not just itv ,channel 4 seems worst hit this year and seems losing big brother was a big mistake. doubt the pattern of lower ratings recorded each year will change as bit by bit the audiences are fragmenting and web services taking over.
bbc had a good year up to the autumn due to the sport events and will no doubt have a strong xmas as i cant remember a year it didnt win overall festive period.
doubt there is any way to stop the fragmenting audience appart from playing to it eg having more other services bringing in revenue not just one channels ratings.
