My bad. The live episode was indeed the highest of the year.

well fair enough something is happening at midnight, but im not sure its going to be the axe.

If it is, im going to be disappointed, as I honestly do not believe it needs to be end.

Im sure the 2 part season finale over Christmas will be good, but its going to be heart breaking, if its the end, that shouldn't happen over Christmas.

Maybe it's a film.

does any one know if the itv sitcom based in a jobcentre that launches in 2013 will be on itv or itv 2?

itv seems to have nothing to offer on thursday nights at 8.30pm after emmerdale for the half hour up to 9pm wondered if the above sitcom would be used or docu soaps like paul o gradys love of dogs etc which would work in that slot etc.

wish on sat nights itv would offer more for none strictly fans as seems none xfactor fans have merlin but all on offer against striclty are old films and low rating youve been framed etc clear to see why strictly doing well as nothing clashing with it at all. a fun game show or the chase or millionare would be better from 6.30pm on itv

that seems possible, TBH im going to be conflicted if that is the case. I would want the BBC to get a good cut of any profits that film makes, as otherwise Shine (News Corp) will just be making a ton of money of 5 years of licence fee payers money, that isnt something I wish to encourage.

or worse case the contact with the BBC is up, and its moving to Sky.

Next Sunday BBC1 not making any adjustment for an hour long Corrie being on at 8pm. It's still...

6.20pm Countryfile
7.20pm Strictly.

and at 9pm on ITV1 it's Stepping Out With Kathleen Jenkins. ITV trying to cash in on the popularity of Strictly.

You joke but I think you could probably turn out to be right. They have nothing ready to put in that slot for next year unless they hold Doctor Who back.

Some are saying it's been axed! that can't be true. It must be the programs decision to end. BBC One now have a hole to fill.

If Merlin is being axed, that is a real shock and a massive blow to autumn Saturday nights on BBC1, as I can see the lotto gameshows making a comeback...

I think Doctor Who be replacing Merlin in the Autumn slot next year because of its 50th anniversary.

It could be news about a movie. We'll see.

im not sure S7 being delayed is big enough to have an announcement of an announcement.

This kind of thing is why I hate Twitter.

They have 8 episodes plus the 50th anniversary episode or episodes. I can see Dale Winton and Nick Knowles having to do a bit of overtime if you ask me.

Oh dear. Shame BBC One don't have a replacement ready to run straight away.

Perhaps Strictly will have to air at 7.30 next autumn...?

Doctor Who wouldn't have to be delayed, the second half of the current series will air in the Spring, or earlier, and then whatever they have planned for the anniversary, whether it be a full series, short series, or multi-part special, in the Autumn.

Hopefully BBC can start Strictly after 7pm next year. Theyre always at a disadvantage starting SCD so early and they shouldnt be scared of showing SCD from after 7pm in the future because its established itself as most popular entertainment show.

when do we get the Christmas schedule/listings next week? or even just the BBC update, with the show titles, and how many episodes?

Haven't BBC One commissioned a new puppet show form the creators of the Muppet. In that case they could push Strictly later and put the puppet thing on before?

Or is that not for next year? The chest looks bare to me.

The Job Lot is an ITV sitcom. I believe next year ITV are looking at putting a few sitcoms in that 8.30pm slot.

Twitter is good for info if you know where to look and who are the credible sources. And that season 7 Who stuff probably came from a fair few Doctor Who fans who frequent a few forums. Twitter just mean their theories can reach an outside audience.

Of course the other thing is just because something is mentioned on Twitter doesn't mean it's not true.

Theres all this talk about Itv showing sitcoms but theres only two which have been announced, that one and the one with Sir Ian McKellen. So is that all next year, just 2 sitcoms on Itv1?

Merlin has delivered solid ratings to BBC one in the face of X factor even at its height, I would expect an attempt to renew it with Shine productions for another year at least.

And Caroline Aherne writing a sitcom about security guards with Bobby Ball and Brendan O'Carroll aka Mrs Brown. That was announced earlier this year. Also at the ITV Upfronts they said more comedy was on the horizon.
