Hmm, interesting to see they have plugged The Cube on the 23rd. As far as I am aware, they filmed a Celebrity special of The Chase a few weeks ago. Any news on when that'll be aired?

25 minutes on Christmas Day!! It's as if someone is issuing misleading provisionals It'll be 10 minutes, 15 at the very most.
Midwife on Christmas Day . Christmas Eve and Boxing Day look well scheduled though.

BBC for 2013 and probably 2014 as Wizzywick points out on the Christmas thread, BBC Have the premiere rights to all Pixar films along with a repeat right.

If they go with the schedule as they have previously, we could be looking at this. And that makes Mr Selfridge very vunerable I'd say.

18:30 Dancing on Ice
20:30 Mr Selfridge
21:30 Dancing on Ice

I think BBC One will go with this (which looks very solid)

19:00 Countryfile
20:00 Call the Midwife
21:00 Ripper Street

There needs to be big change for DOI this year, I'd be inclined to include the results in a self-contained 2 hour show. But that would still mean Mr Selfridge clashes with Ripper Street.

ITV3 beating C4 & C5 in the 9pm hour last night:

ITV Media: ITV3 equalled its best ever Thursday all time share yesterday. Doc Martin (21:00-21:59) had its highest weekday audience on ITV3, with 1.1m viewers and a 4.4% share. This beat Channel 4 and Channel 5 in the slot.

Rosemary and Thyme (20:00-20:59) also performed well in prime time, with 0.7m viewers and a 3.1% share. This was its highest episode since January. I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here Now! (22:00-22:59) on ITV2 had its fourth highest episode this series, with 1.1m viewers and a 6.5% share.

So they are running Celebrity Mastermind again this year. I thought that might have run it's course by now as any celeb with half a braincell has already been on.

It's possible ITV bought the rights to Tangled and they got a few films chucked it as part of the deal. It's a coup as Tangled was only released in 2010 in the US and early 2011 in the UK. I think Shrek will win the battle but Tangled could steal a few viewers.

There's still a few films that haven't been shown on terrestrial television. The Dark Knight being the most obvious and also The Hangover and 2012.

It got like 5m last year so it's worth it.

Wonder what's happening with Jack Taylor which was supposed to air in December on Channel 5? I'm guessing it's been delayed until 2013 as they're won't be a slot for it until after CBB finishes.

Am I the only one that thinks ITV's Christmas schedules look poorer than previous years? Seems to be more documentaries than usual.

Yeah they usually have a few episodes of Poirot and Marple but none this year. I don't think they'll air that Spice Girls doc on Christmas Eve far more likely to be John Bishop's 'Panto' drama.

Yes looks weak, especially the weekends. They must be saving stuff for the rebrand.

Eastenders will be savaged by Downton Abbey if its left in that timeslot, the reasoning behind the BBC wanting to run it against ITV's top ratings banker show when its been less popular the last few weeks will only fuel the media further.

Why does 1.32m people watch the JK show? Its the worse show on TV and should be banned

The BBC should leave it where it is.....It did well in that slot last year and the BBC running EastEnders Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday at 9:00pm will work well. As for Downton are people really going to sit down and watch a 2 hour drama on xmas day with Adverts? look at last year a lot of people recorded it (hence the jump in officials) same will happen this year.
