You took it right. it wasn't a prediction.
Well prediction or not I don't really see the need in wanting programmes axed. If you don't like something don't watch it but why would you want a show that millions still watch and enjoy to be axed? Isn't that a bit selfish? I don't understand the logic of that. |

Right I get you I read the first part of your post, this one: I said hopefully not I expect, in one go and was confused as you didn't put hopefully not. But now you've explained I get you.

It's very selfish, but to be fair, most of those watch out of habbit, the way the ratings and storylines are going, it'd only effect dan2008 .

That must be quite a year on year drop for Eastenders. It does seem to be in quite a bit of bother at the moment. But I wouldn't worry too much about Christmas Day. Everything on BBC1 rates way above usual on the 25th and that's not going to change.

IAC and XF ratings will be interesting, as well as tonights ratings considering XF is being given a 'boost' by Corrie.

9.8m for IAC and 8m for XF with +1 included. Both should be half a million higher, although Strictly was slightly below where it's been for the past couple of weeks too so seems to be a general trend.
I'm A Celebrity would probably have broken 11m had they done the final tonight - I don't see why they do it on a Saturday instead. The Katherine Jenkins thing could air over Christmas. |

Channel 5's boxing coverage peaked at a strong 1.63m (8.1%).
After the boxing, BAMMA 11 averaged 402k (3.5%) and beat ITV1. |

Very poor for X Factor, 25% drop from last year which is the worst drop for any live show this series. If it replicates that for the Sunday final next week it'll miss 10m, even including +1.
As for the 16-34 numbers, yes it's very strong there and indeed it's quite clear what ITV have in mind with their TMO/XF/IAC line-up in peak advertising time but it should be a lot stronger. IAC scheduling backfiring as well. |

I think XF destroyed it with the scheduling for the first few live shows. A 10:35pm finish was ridiculous.

1. Derivative storylines - the big plots this Christmas ( the Kat reveal and the death) are retreads of stories which have been done before much more effectively. 2. The lack of heart - except for Ann Mitchell, there just aren't any of those characters who give the show warmth. 3. Repetitive storylines - Jamie Foreman has gone on record recently to say he felt he was effectively replaying the same scenes every few episodes as Derek. This is the case with stories being artificially extended way beyond their lifespan. I do think promoting Lorraine Newman from kirkwood's second in command was a mistake - the show needed a fresh pair of eyes at the top as soon as he left. |

Bad night for Itv1. Golden Rules and YBF got terrible ratings. Take me out got its worst ratings of the series and thrashed by BBC. XFactor worst semi final ratings ever. IAc is it worst final ratings in 5 series. At such a crucial time of the year, these ratings are not good enough and advertisers must be fuming.
