I've just rewatched tonight's episode, and even though it's so frustrating that they're not able to see each other, I love episodes like that where they have no scenes together but their connection (and love) just smacks you in the face.
Also, Ste's reaction to being married will never get old.

PJ isn't leaving. He's too popular. And the potential for Doug is too big.
My headcanon is just in overdrive now. >( |

I dont even mind Doug that much, its just how he is with Ste that annoys me.
Once Stendan are back together and Doug gets his own little storyline he can stay forever if he wants to

Are people thinking Joel might have gone? I've been wondering why he's been bundled off so unceremoniously.
See, I have mixed feelings about Joel, always have. He was great in Later, that was the only time for me he really worked, and with his Mum, and Mitzeee, and maybe sometimes with Theresa. He only got on my nerves because basically Brendan did sod all for about 8 weeks except hang around with him in a completely unbelievable and contradictory relationship. I was really hoping they'd find Joel something else to do. And Andrew's such a cutie. On other matters, someone has to cap Ste's face when he realises he's married to Doug. It's almost as good as when he fishes up Danny's body. ![]() eta: jinx Maya!

Doug can come back from the States all chilled out, his parents' cheque burning a hole in his pocket. And he'll bump into Patrick, and all will be well.

I think Kieron's acting is a bit hit-and-miss but tonight I thought he got it just right. I think being subdued can be a good thing for him.
I would be happy to see the back of all those rumoured to be leaving apart from Joel. I love wee Joel. And there are damn few characters left that I can say that about. |

Ah music and me just loved your episode analysis on the last thread
spec the bit about the difference between what Brendan and Doug reacted to how "lucky"(!!) Ste was, Dougs reaction being unreasonbly harsh and Brendans just being so beautiful. Paetra is so totally a Stendan shipper <3 It was such a beautiful ep. Yeah, that got me as well, I don't know exactly how 'lucky' Ste was to be hit by a friggin bus. I didn't like that Doug didn't let him talk about the accident either. Brendan would have talked through it with him no matter how hard it was Ste was just trying to get his poor muddled head together!I love that we can always tell when a writer is a shipper. Those writers should write the eps all the time

I don't get why people think that Ste wanting Brendan comes down to him forgetting he loves Doug. He's forgot one day, not 6 months, jeeez. This is how he feels, you can't deny it no matter how much you may want to. Quote:

I dread the next stendan scene, if the spoilers are anything to go by it will be full of angst |

I don't think Joel has left. I don't think Doug is leaving.
I'm fine with that as long as they give Ste and Brendan some space. But I equally couldn't care less about watching them onscreen. |

I do really feel for Doug in that episode. He's doing what he thinks is right with the soft voice and kindness but honestly in that situation I don't think it's what Ste wants
I guess it makes it feel more real? Or maybe I'm talking out of my arse
