Spinal surgery has a standard 4-6 week recovery in terms of the wound and healing. Can take up to a year for full fusion and normality, depending on what she has done!

She'll be out for at least 6 weeks I'd imagine.

ETA - She's probably having an epidural or facet joint injections to tide her over until March then. They tend to have a few month life span and only have a small recovery.
