Really nice pic of Gennie and Rishi on ITV.com, Gennie looks lovely. Hope they don't keep us waiting to long for the wedding, Gennie is going to be the most stunning bride. Don't suppose the groom will look to bad either.

A couple of cryptic spoilers from Emmerdaily's Betty's hot gossip;

Spoiler
Week commencing 3 December "A new mum decides to return to work and take on a fresh challenge ...... but how will dad feel"

Week commencing 10 December "Who decides to become a house husband?"

Sounds as if Gennie does get the sales manager's job and Nikhil decides to stay at home and look after Molly full time, which isn't much of a surprise as he seems extremely reluctant for anyone outside of the family holding her so he's unlikely to want her to go to a childminder. All in all it's a turnaround for a man who in the Spring kept telling everyone how he was never going to have children.

Personally, I don't think I'd be too keen to surrender his gorgeousness to the ogling of the Yummy Mummies of the Dales. Although, I've always liked the idea of Gennie taking on a major role at the factory and I think she's actually going to prove to be a very talented and capable businesswoman. I just hope that in the process they don't lose touch with each other. It would be refreshing to see a couple in Emmerdale actually working together as a team and playing on their strengths for a while, rather than drifting apart. These two are at their best when they're together. I wonder whether placing Gennie in a more senior role in Sharma and Sharma may eventually link to Jai's storyline? Depending on how he's funding Rachel and his offspring, Gennie might begin to notice anomalies in the accounts. Could this be how he finally gets rumbled? Charity is also likely to be on the warpath when she discovers the truth and if she moves to divorce Jai, she's likely to want a significant cut of his assets (in more ways than one). Rishi could get caught in the middle, as he's known about the baby for some time. Charity will doubtless make him pay, for what she'll see as his deceit. It could come down to Gennie to rescue the situation and hold on to the factory. Could Nikhil buy Jai out to save the family business? Perhaps the future Sharma and Sharma will actually be Gennie and Nikhil, not Jai and Nikhil.

Well it's a variation on the scenario i suggested but if the summising is correct it's close enough for me to say dreams sometimes do come true

In this week's Inside Soap as well as the photo of Gennie and Rishi there is some more detail about next week's storyline as follows;
Spoiler

Quote:
“New Mum Gennie is eager to get back to work this week, as she has an interview for the position of sales manager at the Sharma sweet factory.

Viewers will remember that former personal assistant Gennie was keen for a more hands-on role a few months back and was livid when Charity nabbed the job. But given recent business developments between Charity and Jimmy over the King’s haulage firm, the posit is vacant again – and Gennie’s got her eye on it.

After convincing Nikhil to let her be interviewed for the position, Gennie arrives dressed to kill and confidently answers Rishi’s questions. But when Nikhil starts to backtrack – stating that he can’t see how they’ll make the situation work now that they’ve got baby Molly – Gennie is deflated. However, she’s in for a big surprise when Nikhil does another U-turn, this time by announcing that he’ll look after Molly himself while Gennie brings home the bacon.

Despite her initial excitement, the situation proves more difficult than Gennie imagined when she starts to grow envious of the quality time Nikhil is enjoying with their daughter. As Gennie begins to fear she’s missing out, for how long will she continue to put on a brave face?”

So it wouldn't surprise me if Liziray's scenario does come true and they decide on some kind of job share either that or they'll work from home.

Nice cute Genhil scene in the Woolpack tonight and it was good to see Nikhil trying to talk some sense into Declan.

Yeah it was a cute scene. And Declan didn't have to push Nikhil up against the wall, he was just trying to help.

Well maybe fatherhood is beginning to change Nikhil into a more rounded and caring individual, But i suspect we'll still see a few gaffs especially where Gennie's concerned

Sounds good

The best solution is some sort of job share arrangement- even working part time they'd both be working more than anybody else in that factory

hehe, definitely! Made me laugh when Laurel told Gennie in the cafe how much they missed her at the factory. Surely Laurel's hardly ever there!! Anyway, I'm sure Gennie will be back there soon

Talking of gaffs and Nikhil, Did you spot the one at the Hospital when he sort of apologised for Gennie not bringing Molly due to the risk of MRSA, Just what Declan needed to hear.

I couldn't decide if that was amusing, or just irritating

Anyone know if Gennie and Nikhil feature in ED over Christmas?

I am pretty sure she will be- I havre to agree about Luarel and work- she's not there enough to miss anyone- Molly seems to have been at that factory more than Laurel

Can I also say the idea that Ali is even an candiate for this sales job is a joke, she is barely able to read (that;s not a criticism, she's learning but it's very early days), however she is rude and surly, she skives off routinely and is barely competent at packing sweets- how would she be eligible for a promotion

Actually I though Nikhil was doing his best there, in fact he was humouring Declan's self indulgent pity party a lot more than I would have done; he was working at Home Farm to help him and had come to the hospital to support him; he also gave him some pretty good advice in terms of sorting things out with Megan-

I thought it was funny to see him using hand sanitiser in the bakgroubnd of one of the scenes- yes he'd worry about MRSA, this is Nikhil after all-not sure he'd be entirely unreasonable in this- besides Declan had more to worry about than MRSA anyway

Of course Nikhil wouldn't have wanted Molly near that hospital but Gennie came and visited Katie

Gennie was also very patient in supporting Katie given how little Katie supported her just weeks ago after she had Molly and Chas got arrested. Gennie was clearly very stressed and getting blamed by Debbie and Katie offered her no support whatsoever

Agree Wildy, I was really impressed with Nikhil helping out at Home Farm and giving some good advice, Especially as with Jai being away he was probably needed at the factory, I'd like to put this down to his future wife and daughter's influence but might be doing him an injustice here.

I wonder if we'll get a scene of Gennie visiting Chas in Jail, Would really like to see that, but they'd need to get a move on, can't see her being there to much longer.

Enjoyed tonight's scenes and thought Gennie was very restrained when Nikhil came out with his "at least you didn't embarrass yourself" remark at the end of her interview. The kitchen scene was cute with Nikhil looking rather thoughtful at the end and can't wait to see what suggestion he comes up with tomorrow.

doesn't he suggest that he stays at home and gennie works

Spoiler
Yes, but Gennie worries too much about missing Molly's upbringing that she might have a change of mind
