Rosemary Lied

A much as I like the woman she was whispering when Hugo pulled her up for it,,, she jumped to her own defence shouting she was talking not whispering... but she was...

Yes, that made me smile - it reminded me of Bart Simpson's 'I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it - you can't prove anything'

I like her, but she can be bossy and I agree I thought she was blatantly whispering in front of him, she went close to Linda ear and said something, so I don't get why she said Hugo was rude.

Well quite I said the same in one of the other threads yesterday that I couldn't see what he had done wrong as she was clearly whispering. I thought it was her that was rude to him by snapping at him for saying so.

Completely Agree, everyone saw her whisper!

I don't get why she is so popular, it's like the Biggins effect, someone that is large, talks in a shrill posh voice and bangs on about being fair.

Roesemary purposely dropped Brian in it, she knew exactly what she was at, she's not silly, and got the camp to shoot the messenger.

Rosemary also purposely winds up Hugo, aided and egged on by Nadine, who hasn't been able to stand Hugo since day one.

Rosemary is also jumping on the 'Helen has a game plan' bandwagon that Nadine trotted out. Note how Colin was cagey about it, yet Rosemary leapt straight in to announce that Helen is very clever, and agree with Nadine.

Finally!!
A thread that doesn't praise Rosemary as the saviour of the show!

I honestly do not understand the massive popularity that she seems to have garnered.
She basically reminds me of a bossy dinner lady, in her own little world of self-importance.
And to be honest, I don't see a lot of difference between Rosemary and Hugo ... apart from the fact that she's actually useful at something in the camp.

I'm a big Colin / Ashley / Charlie fan and hope to see them in the final three, but I would really like to see Rosemary jog on at an early stage!

BiB 1 : not sure what the relevance of that is in a Rosemary-bashing post?
BiB 2: tbf, pretty much the entire country jumped (accurately) on to that bandwagon, long before Rosemary did.

I think she's overbearing and patronizing.

I generally quite like her, but she was definitely whispering and was much ruder than Hugo was in that exchange (granted, we do see an edited version of events, but from what we saw, she came out of it a lot worse than he did).

I do too! And I don't think she was lying - she's incapable of whispering, she doesn't do 'quiet'!

1. I like her
2. She was definitely whispering because I reran it
3. She should never have accused anyone of being rude
4. That made her appear rude
5. Why didn't Linda join in the conversation - she only needed to say that she had spoken quietly, and she hadn't found Hugo to be rude and that would have been the end of it
6. There are too many weak people in there who daren't speak up for themselves, but Hugo did
7. I do still like her though - but people must stand up to her when she's wrong

8. I will now climb off my soap box

I agree .... I like her but she can be very schoolmistress-like and likes to "scold" people ... she does it all the time on the Alan Titchmarsh Show

I also just had a look and she was definitely whispering! I believe Linda had just said she liked the galangal and Rosemary was whispering to her that it wasn't actually nice. Hugo made a perfectly civil remark (even if he sounded a bit fed up) and Rosemary is all "that's so rude Hugo, actually, it was wrong, don't do that I won't have it".

She was definitely whispering and made herself look a bit silly when she said she wasn't and had a go at Hugo ( with Nadine & Linda jumping on the bandwagon). She was probabl just embarrassed that he had pulled her up on her manners.

She's OK and I did like how she later told Hugo she had been too harsh.

I don't care if she was, Mr "Slither Off to the Waterfall and Bitch" irritates me to no end.
