Dan Woottan has said that there will be a major surprise this weekend on X Factor but never specified what it was. I wonder if Ella is maybe coming back, however she was polled voted lowest on the votes so not sure how that can happen. I can't really think on anything which could be that surprising at this stage of the competition.

I don't think she'll be back, she's been doing a lot of interviews so probably hasn't had time to rehearse. I would like her to come back tbh, she was very good, but it isn't likely and I don't think it's fair to past eliminated acts who haven't got this chance.

For one I hope that Ella doesn't come back. If she were this would be the worst thing that could happen to The X-Factor. She came last in a public vote therefore does not deserve her place there. The only addition that could be considered acceptable in someway would be another of the wildcards returning, but considering the uproar over Amelia last year that may not go down too well either. I'm sure that the 'big surprise' will turn out to be something minor and insignificant either that of someone (I don't know who) who is performing.

They can't bring Ella back. The public wanted her out, she came bottom, why does she deserve to come back. It's a kick in the face for the public, for James who beat her fair and square and in the sing off and for all the other contestants that came bottom. Why does she deserve it more than Kye or District 3 or Melanie for example??

Just because she was the plan A for the powers that be shouldn't mean anything

The public decided between her and James and she lost, just like any other contestant bottom of the votes and took to deadlock. Reinstating her would be ridiculous and a fix to the extreme.

Is that a major surprise? We've heard rumours he's coming back, he's tweeted about coming back and he did a Skype thing last year. I think they'll save that to boost the final or at least the semi-final with this week's show announcing it so they can do an OTT 'HE'S BACK' VT, him appearing once isn't going to boost the next three weeks, people aren't not watching because they don't know how good it's been, they're not watching cause they saw it and weren't fussed.

I just did a search on Google News and saw "CHRISTOPHER MALONEY QUITS", to then it continued "TWITTER". I honestly was like for moment or two.
