Advice needed on budget 10" tablet for 7 year old
Hi folks,
I'm currently agonising over which tablet to get my daughter for christmas. She will be using it mostly for games, iPlayer and YouTube although I would also like something she can use for school/research work. Obviously the cheaper the better but I am willing to goto £150ish if neccessary. She is used to using our New iPad so I'm looking to get as close to that as I can for the money (preferably white) so I've ruled out the sub £100 resistive screen tabs and am currently looking at two units; The Zenithink C93 appeals because of its Samsung dual core chip set but the Sanei N10 is very appealing due to its looks, and IPS screen. This one is dual core also. Any advice/input on either of these tablets would be very much appreciated, Thank you. |

I don't think you'll get many people with experience of the tablets you've listed. If going for a Chinese tablet I'd buy one from somewhere with a good returns policy and put it through it's paces before you wrap it up for Christmas.
I bought a Chinese tablet recently, it was a great little machine but the battery life and wifi were flaky and it used to freeze up quite often. If I hadn't tried it out properly I wouldn't have known about these issues until it was too late. I ended up returning the tablet in the end. For a little extra (around the £160-£170 mark) you could get a second hand 1st gen 16GB iPad from somewhere like avforums. |

I've used the 7inch version of the tab and can say it is better than most branded tablets. Yes it feels a bit plastic and cheap but thats the same for any chinese tablet. |

![]() The difference is that with branded tablets at least there is going to be some level of support and hopefully the products have been reasonably tested. With the no names it is hit and miss. Not saying they are all crap but its difficult to tell the good from the bad. |
