Buying this B&W LED laser printer
Hi,
I am thinking of buying this for myself. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Epson-AcuLas...3532776&sr=1-5 http://www.epson.com.sg/epson_singap...Aculaser_M1400 Compatible ink is quite cheap £16.95 toner giving 2200 pages. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LASER-HC-C...561#vi-content I had a laserjet 6L which doesn't work anymore. I have a Lexmark x5470 all in one, however the ink on that is too much, so I am switching to a simple laser. However I was thinking of getting this http://www.amazon.co.uk/CE847A-Laser...532833&sr=1-17 or this Brother printer http://www.amazon.co.uk/Brother-DCP7...m_cr_pr_sims_t So, I could replace the lexmark. Basically I am looking at the best value laser printer, either standalone or all in one mf laser Colour lasers are too much, as are ink jets. So, what say the great minds of DS? |

Some Colour deals do come up.
http://www.hotukdeals.com/search?act...=laser+printer. Careful that many cheap lasers are USB only (not network or wifi). Epson Inkjets have dirt cheap compatible Ink Cartridges widely available. eg amazon/ebay etc. |

I wrote this back in July. Don't know if Argos still have the same deal but it's a great wireless B/W laser. Very good quality and I run 3 PCs on it with no problems. This is what I said then:
I have an Epson Stylus Photo 1290 which is brilliant - providing you use it every day! If not it's a case of head cleaning. I'm keeping it for colour photos though because the quality is first class. However for black and white letters etcetera I've just bought an HP Wireless Laserjet P1102w. £79.99 in Argos. It's a Which? best buy and gets good reviews elsewhere. I've got two Win XP computers and a Win 7. Set up on all three was automatic and a doddle. Look Mum no wires (except for the power cord). I'm very pleased with it and hope the link below works as it's a bit long: http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Browse?storeId=10151&langId=110&catalogId=1500002951&mRR=true&c_1=1|category_root|Technology|33006169&c_2=2|33006169|Home+office|33007724&c_3=3|cat_33007724|Printers|33016389&r_001=8|Type|Laser+printers|1&r_002=9|Brands|Hewlett-Packard|1&r_003=10|Wireless+enabled|Yes|1 |
