Just caught up with Tuesday's EE - didn't expect her to get a duff duff! What are people thoughts of the character?

i liked her. its good to see a long-lost daughter who isnt 'damaged' or an alcoholic or drug addict etc. someone who seems grounded and has a good job

polar opposite to rainie

A breath of fresh air (for now) in that she has done well for herself and has a decent job. Shame this time next month she'll probably be down working at the cafe or something

There's something very likable about her.

I wonder how they will explain her being on the Square most of the time, when she should be at work. Maybe she will become a home tutor or something.

Obviously they can (in real life), but not in a soap.

That means Ava's outdoor scenes would be limited to the evening. Because of the way EastEnders film, that's not logistically possible.

Why do you think everyone works on the Square? It's so all the characters can be available at any given time.

Or in the case of Alice, she has a lot of days off.

She might already live 20mins away from school - in the other direction!

Maybe they will get around that through the regularity of half terms/school holidays - every six weeks or so teachers are 'off' for at least a week (I say 'off' - us teachers still work hard in the holidays, believe it or not!) so they could have her around the square only in the evenings (the pub) and weekends (if shown) for a few weeks, followed by more regular appearances during the day every few weeks to show school holidays. Is that how storylines work anyway most of the time? Characters feature a lot for short bursts, only to disappear into the background again for a few weeks, before reappearing again - I'd say a teacher's life was heaven-sent in many ways from that point of view!
