If all these voting figures are right i'm fearing a Denise Danni Dance off in the next few weeks which will be an absolute travisty if one of them goes

Er if the public don't like them "Goodnight Vienna". How can that be a travesty?

Doesn't happen often but I actually agree with bobajot on this one, if the public doesn't vote for them then its tough titty.

Oh and in a Dani/Denise dance off it wouldn't be 'one of them' going - it would be Dani. Judges wouldn't send Denise packing in a month of Sundays

Well, there isn't any reason to believe the voting figures. The only thing we know is that neither of them have been in the dance off when they might have been. So they could have massive votes for all anyone knows. But I understand the need to worry about it, if it helps get it out of your system. I worry about stuff on this show before it happens all the time!

Yes it's bad news for anyone that comes up against Denise and sadly I think it is more likely to be Kimberley or Dani. The judges will keep her in, they can hardly do otherwise because she is probably better than anyone (though Dani could win out - it would depend on the dances). I don't think she will get to dance 'Bolero' though

Danni is the most improved and Craig loves her so doe's Ian Waite Karen Harding said she should have got 10's at the weekend the Samba this week looks the nuts

you might be fearing that, I'm fearing Michael and anybody else. unless it's Victoria

I've always hated the dance off, because IMO it leads to dull finals however, this series, it's certainly ratched up the tension on the results show, so I can't see it being abandoned by the producers at all, and I've quite enjoyed the tension

I don't like it, simply because it makes it harder to predict who will stay or go, since you don't know which of the bottom two was last in the combined scores.

I've never liked the dance off and the power it gives to the judges.

But it's possible that Kimberley, Denise and Dani would all go if solely left to the public vote. If the figures quoted here are to be believed Kimberley would definitely have gone and Fern remained. Victoria could outlast Denise etc etc.
It's not much of a dance show if you're only left with the duds. They're trying to ensure that doesn't happen.

Whereas I can see the benefit of the Dance Off up to now (this series) and possibly this week, I really do think that the dance off should be scrapped in the next 2-3 weeks even if it does evict someone like Denise or Kimberley.

Surely if they are not getting votes, it means that people DO NOT want to see them anymore?

The people's vote should have the casting vote in the event of a judges' tied vote and not "came aaht and gave it welly" Len.

Not necessarily - I, for example, WANT to see Denise, Dani, Louis, Michael, Kimberley next week. But I certainly can't afford to vote for all of them to the extent necessary to keep all of them in. If I have to limit myself then I will vote for my 1st/2nd choices - Denise and Dani. It doesn't mean that I don't want to see the others.

This is why being mid table is so dangerous - people voting for the best will be going for the ones at the top; people voting out of sympathy/to annoy the judges will be going for the ones at the bottom. Unless they have a massive personal fan base, those in the middle are vulnerable.

The problem is that just by being the dance off skews the voting

Without the dance off and the need to boost the bottom 2 of the leaderboard up at least a couple of places, Kimberley might not have been in the dance off in the first place.

Last year, without the dance off, no one higher than 3rd from bottom of the leader board left - which shows that left to pick for themselves the voting public don't go quite as power crazy as the judges would have you believe

Me too and she and Vincent are great together. If she were up against Denise though I'm afraid she'd be gone unless Denise had a total disaaaaaaaster, which is unlikely.

Saying that though, there was no dance off last year and we weren't left with any 'duds' towards the end.

What concerns me about the dance off is that it is asking the judges to vote on something that the public do not get a say in i.e the dance off performances. I have often looked at the initial routines in the first show and thought that A was better than B and then watched A and B in a dance off and thought B was better. And if and when it goes 2-2 then Lens vote counts double which for me is wrong. To suggest that his opinion is more important than any of the other judges is in my view unjustifiable. He may be the so called head judge but I don

I know but Craig also loves Denise (he said shes his fave on ITT ) and, unfortunately for Dani, Ian Waite and Karen Hardy are not judges.

He may be the so called head judge but I dont agree with that tag either. There should not be a head judge role imo. In a 2-2 split I would send it back to public votes although I would prefer 3 judges rather than 4.

That's the annoying thing about the dance off though, you can vote like a crazy person and spend a fortune then, when it comes down to it, the judges can just kick out your fave!

What voting figures - where have you gleaned this correct information from please ? I think Dani and Vincent will be getting plenty from what I've read !

No, the public were very well behaved I agree
Without the dance-off we would probably have lost Kimberley and possibly Nicky but might still have Fern and Richard It's possible that Denise would go soon as well and though I'm not a fan, she shouldn't go before Victoria.

This is the stage in the competition when I think the need to start voting is more apparant, lots dont vote when theres still lots of people left in it
