I agree, she has done well on occasion but I still don't find her better dances all that enjoyable to watch live because of the constant fear that something will go horribly wrong for her. I did, however, really enjoy her Tango when I rewatched it safe in the knowledge that nothing went wrong.

Victoria's average over 7 dances = 24.6

John's average (over same) = 19.7

(Incidentally, Widdlebum's comparable average = 17.3)

Different seasons, different judges and different scoring philosophies .

A pointless comparisson. I hope you didn't go to too much trouble.

Victoria is better than John was. It's a verdict.

Ultimate strictly. Five minutes if that. And I like statistics.

So no. No trouble.

Someone asked. I answered. Terribly sorry if you think answering someone else's query was pointless.

And I actually think this comparison is far less pointless than others (Russell, I'm looking at you and the number of tens comparison particularly) than others.

Unfortunately they did with Widdy when they cynically built up all this controversy around her and deliberately let her break the rules. Although I personally found her obnoxious and not in the least bit entertaining - she got to the quarter finals so I think that would have been regarded as a 'success' of some sort. This difference between her and John though was that imo he was at least likeable and entertaining and he did at least put some effort in

I agree with your assessment too That wasn't a vintage year for Latin - the only latin dances that stood out for me were Cherie and Rachel's rumbas and Austin's jive and paso - oh and John's paso for entirely different reasons Oh and Heather's salsa was good even though it wasn't danced flawlessly - it was a different style of salsa to what I'd seen before on the show.

I remember the week the controversy really kicked off when Cherie and Lisa were in the bottom 2 and both had Latin dances and Cherie got eliminated - it had been simmering away the week before when Rachael was in the dance off with Heather the week before.
