1940s - Service Blend tea, wartime recipes, rationing...

That'll be interesting..

Brightly-coloured food?
NAAFI tea that you could stand a spoon in with condensed milk.

Yummy.

Don't they teach history in schools any more?

She was not a Queen in 1940!
The later Queen mother was married to King George VI so was Queen at the time.

They should have gone for the 1910s or 1920s when the teashops were thriving.

They will have to make spam sandwiches for 1940s cut very thin.

I was drinking cocoa in an Anderson shelter with my granddad.

or 1940s inspired Tea Party which obviously will involve making cakes with no eggs or butter as there was rationing then.

I was thinking of our current Queen, who was crowned in 1953, and in later years saw the Coronation in colour. .
