If Steven runs out of margarine he could squeeze a substitute tub.

How about some green topped cupcake...very High Tea not!

Used to be dainty cucumber sandwiches, cress, bread and butter, and lots of cake. Been to a few you see.

How about Marmite-flavoured cupcakes? Or cupcakes you can use as kazoos? Or cupcakes that spontaneously-combust?

Cheese in a 1940s tea party? What was the ration - 2oz/person/week?
On 8 January 1940, bacon, butter and sugar were rationed. This was followed by meat, tea, jam, biscuits, breakfast cereals, cheese, eggs, lard, milk and canned and dried fruit.

So cakes without butter, sugar, eggs, jam, currants and milk.

Nice.

I like the small but rich deserts they had.

Looked lovely.

Oh no they've phoned at the wrong time again. LOL

They'd better stock up on carrots then!

Obviously these kids never watch content on Yesterday...

They would NEVER win with the Authenticity Officers if they went to a ww2 reenactment.

Afternoon tea at Harrods - classy - lovely food - not that I have ever actually tasted it.

This is very amusing, they haven't got a clue, and don't bother to find out either.

Where was the 'what is high tea to you?' question?
