I knew this would happen. Maria is TV.

I thought that was really wrong though.

Maria is complacent and unpleasant, and not good either.

Maria seems popular with the others.

Although the candidates all seem to actually like eachother away from the tasks.

But if the Tea party had been in an ordinary park, she couldn't have charged that much, but as it was at a grand estate, then she was out to get as much as she could. Or she knew she could charge a lot, just a thought.

Pretty happy that Alice has gone actually, I haven't forgiven her for being a complete bitch to Lucy on the cook book task.

I presume Maria is being kept in for the drama - no way in hell is she winning this.

Have only just caught up with tonight's edition (having watched Masterchef) but it's interesting seeing Maria in full flow again seeing as we've just used the altercation in the car from the cookery book week (when she basically told Sean to ignore the market research) as an example of someone dominating a conversation in our GCSE 'spoken language' unit at work!

None of the youngsters in our class watch YA, but as soon as they saw the clip of Maria they all said "what a b1tch"! I had to laugh - they had the measure of her straight away (but as a teacher I had to remain objective and serious!).

But Maria has not disappointed this evening either - she's rude, bossy, argumentative, full of her own importance and dominates conversations, only to deny any responsibility for this things going wrong.

Mostly, though, she's just RUDE! That girl seriously needs to learn some social skills!

I don't think Maria is that horrid. Just very loud, fast-talking and hugely opinionated. The kind that shrieks constantly when drunk at a party. She obviously can be quite gobby and defensive whenever she thinks she's in danger of being blamed. And when her head's on block, she goes in the Princess Diana mode (tilts head, puts on big doe eyes, brings up a hint of tears).

Her biggest weakness is that she's been mostly pessimistic about everyone's ideas, abilities, capabilities and performances. It could be her downfall some day.
