Filter machine vs cafetiere
Which one do you think gives a stronger coffee?
I have a Morphy Richards filter machine around the £40-50 mark and usually buy Taylors and didn't notice any difference between that and a strong blend of more expensive Whittard coffee. |

Taylors coffee is pretty good for a mass produced, long life coffee. but you should notice the difference between a quality coffee from a smaller roaster, where the beans would be fresher.
As for what gives you stronger coffee, it depends how much you put in, how long you leave the coffee in the cafetiere. You will get a different taste from each one, even with the same coffee beans. I have started to buy my coffee beans from a local roaster, well as local as I can get and my beans are delivered a couple of days after roasting and I certainly notice the difference between them and Taylors, saying that I do like Hot Lava Java. The best thing is try it, peoples taste differ, a cafetiere is not that expensive, so worth getting one anyway. |
