Lucy is clearly the best
One win under her belt as PM and a key member of every team since the show began, I think Lucy has really become the one to beat now. She's articulate, bright and doesn't get involved in squabbling, nor does she get bogged down with any detail. She also seems like a genuinely nice person with a good head on her shoulders.
And she has quite a lot of style for a 17 year old on the Apprentice, this week and last week in particular she looked like such an elegant little fashionista

Agree,
Lucy is the one to beat IMO. Just hope Lord Sugar does not do that rubbish twist last year where the losing team all get fired. Otherwise Lucy has a chance of winning. |

Yeah, I think Lucy and Navdeep are the biggest contenders. Lucy in particular.
The only thing that could count against her is that if she won, she might look a bit like Zara Mark II, and I'm not sure Sugar would want two winners who were that similar... but I don't think he cares that much about how people see him. |

She hasn't put a foot wrong in my opinion. Yet. Everyone else has.

I think she's one of the more serious contenders. As people have said, it's difficult to see anything much she's done wrong, and she does seem really nice.
One thing I noticed about Lucy last night; while everyone else was all over Maria on her return to the house from the boardroom, Lucy was the only one I noticed hugging Navdeep instead. I liked her for that. |

Poor standard this year. None of them are any good. No stand outs. Some can't even spell.
Disappointing series. |

The problem with Lucy is and this is the problem with the parameters set with the tasks, she wisely goes for dirt cheap, no frills in order to bump up profits, often ignoring completely the remit of the task. Which is fine in the short term and wise as she undercuts the margins of the other team who take Sugar and the guidelines at his word.
What she doesn't seem to have is a creative mind or a flexible mind, she absolutely focussed on profit for the task in order to win - which to be fair is the name of the game on The Apprentice, but has nothing to do with setting up a business or establishing a business with a brand, an identity, a reputation for quality or sustainability. But then The Apprentice has very little to do with real business anyway, it has a lot to do with an accountant's final year profit/loss spreadsheet. Lucy is the kind of person who is excellent at management, she does also seem to be genuinely sweet natured and kind and manages people well, but she'd be a CEO's right hand woman, not the CEO him or herself. |

All I want from this series now is a huge showdown between 'Mad-Dog' Maria and 'Fragrant Flower' Lucy. It'll be like Rocky 3, and after much bloodshed, the heroic and noble Lucy will deliver several knockout blows to the evil Maria who will fall drop to the floor unconscious. Metaphorically, I should emphasise. Ok, this is a bit like dodgy fan-fic now. But it better happen.

Are you sure you're talking about Lucy? To me, that sounds more like a description of Ashleigh.

I'm gonna say it, no-one else will
She's utterly beautiful. I don't think that's a crime to say that. |

She is beautiful. Nothing wrong with saying someone's beautiful, it's a compliment.

Well, even a slight compliment of a minor in those terms is usually likened to paedophilia isn't it?

Besides, I'm 19, so I'm allowed to say it at any rate

I'm not keen on Lucy at all. She is not a creative thinker.

I think Lucy looks strongest by some way now. I had her on a list of three top contenders with Andrew and Navdeep. However, Sugar doesn't seem to like Andrew and Navdeep, despite her massive win, showed herself up pulling figures out of the air like that. I still hope Navdeep wins, but I think Lucy enhanced her standing tonight.

Lucy has been my front-runner for a couple of weeks now. A very good week for her here despite being on the losing side. She is the one candidate who seems to be able to be assertive rather than aggressive. You can see how I've ranked all seven candidates in my weekly recap here ... http://slouchingtowardsthatcham.com/...d-of-pollocks/ Which is pretty much a guarantee that I will be 100% wrong now ... |

Lucy is at this point the only remaining candidate who has not been in the final boardroom, which is a bonus for her. I still like Navdeep, but I don't think Andrew is that brilliant. He was very good on the cookery book task, but I don't think he's stood out in any of the others.
