What's wrong with my sound/vision?
Not sure if this is the right place for trouble shooting but hey-ho -
Ok, I run my PC though the second HDMI port on my TV. A couple of days ago, I started having problems with HDMI 2 (the port that I use to run my PC though). Basically If I switch to another channel, (HDMI 1 or freeview or whatever) and switch back to HDMI 2, the picture goes and it says no signal. But if I switch my PC off and back on again, I get the picture back. The other issue being that there is no sound on HDMI 2. All other channels on my TV are fine. I was sure that it must be the HDMI lead, but i've just bought a new one and tried it, and nothing's different. I was convinced it was the HDMI lead. Now i'm out of ideas. Any ideas? Now i'm not even sure if it's a PC issue or a TV issue, so i'm not even sure who to call out if it comes to that!

Could be an HDMI hand-shaking issue.
The only way to test would be to connect the computer to another HDMI socket, and see if it still does it. Or to connect another device to that HDMI port and check. As to the sound, check in the computer's audio settings to make sure it's set to send audio through HDMI. |

For anyone interested, it was a sound card problem - basically, an update for my sound card on my PC was faulty. All's well that ends well.
