So, dancing in front of 6000 people - how was that ?

How was it, dancing first ?

You were the last name called during the results - how was that ?

Being in the dance-off, what was that like ?

How was it, getting three nines ?

Zoe, I've just punched you in the nose - how was it ?

I'm sure the questions are written for her.

ITT gets very repetitive after a few weeks , I mean there are only a few ways to ask the same question or discuss a dance over and over without it getting a bore.
I just can't be bothered to watch it anymore .

I've been saying it for weeks, surely Claudia wasn't this repetitive?

It's always

So how was last Saturday?
Judge X said.........how do you feel about that?
We loved it in our house/jumped on the sofas/gave it a standing ovation........
So you have the ......this week, how is training?
So how do you feel Saturday is gong to go for you?

To be fair she is just reading what it says on her script but I do feel that she isn't as skilled an interviewer as Claudia.

I like Zoe when she's talking to people that she knows well and is obviously at ease with (Ian, Karen and, to a lesser extent, Craig) but she seems to struggle a bit with interviewing the celebrities and pro dancers who she's less familiar with. I always think she seems a bit grateful whenever Denise is on the show because she talks a lot and doesn't make an interviewers job difficult. I guess she just finds it more difficult to build the warm and easy rapport that Claudia seemed to manage so effortlessly.

She's now added 'do you have your eye on the final/glitterball?' into the mix.

I hadn't noticed the repetitive questioning and hyper style until it was pointed out on here. Now I can't not notice it.

I do like Zoe though.

I don't think Claudia was repetitive as she was so easily distracted she would follow up what the celebs actually said rather then staying on script all the time. It meant you actually never knew where the interview was going and did learn more about the interviewees as a result.

I frequently listen to her on the arts show on the radio she manages to get some fascinating interviews out of all sorts of people, even the the most curmudgeonly ones as she is interested on what they have to say.

Zoe is very good at staying on script but I think it makes for a poorer interview technique as you don't go so far off the main topic.

Claudia could be even worse, especially when she got into the habit of telling everyone they were attempting "one of the most difficult dances". If they're all one of the most difficult dances, then they're all difficult! It used to drive me mad.

If Zoe's team are running out of original questions, maybe they should give her questions to ask the couples that have been put forward by fans. I imagine they must get hundreds.

I dunno. It's not just the questions that are getting repetitive, but the responses too; everything in tellyworld these days is "absolutely amazing".

Don't then, there's plenty of us who enjoy it every night!!

I think that was only her stock phrase if she interviewing someone who was dancing the Rumba, Samba or Foxtrot. But then I do love Claudia and my memories of her on ITT are all of the misty eyed variety.

It may help if after asking a question she keeps quiet instead of interrupting after the interviewee has got out a couple of words. Mind you it's not easy when 90% respond with "it was amazing". I am sick hearing it. What's wrong with : stunned ; bowled over ; astounded; staggered; blown away;dumbfounded; astonished; shocked ; delighted; etc etc. Thankfully not many have to start every sentence with " you know what".
Everybody is putting so much into their dancing it would be nice if they would all put a bit of effort into being interviewed. It would make life for Zoe much easier and be more interesting for ITT viewers.

Good idea, I remember when they even had people from this forum on ITT giving their contributions .

Does anyone feel like they know any more about the celebs than they knew at the start? The only one they've attempted to humanise is Louis, he got all the impersonations, mum, bored, tired, human VTs.

Everyone else seems to have just got very workman-like VTs and because Zoe doesn't stray off-script we don't get any family/work/busy life style answers either. Maybe none of them wanted personal footage, but we've had Nicky's twins once, Michael's kids school once and that's about it.

Zoe uses quotes, like from Josephine I think it was tonight, rather than open questions, so it doesn't give the opportunity for the couple to do anything rather than "Awww, thanks" whereas she could use the quotes to lead into an open question. Did any of them go to journalism school? I didn't and even I know to ask who, what, when, why, how questions.

It started off that way, then she started saying it about Quicksteps, Cha Chas, everything!

I'm just being a moaning minnie tonight

I was happy with Claudia overall and I'd say I'm ever happier with Zoe. But I wish the interviews were less predictable.

I think it is too scripted and manufactured.

I remember last year Zoe was better at interviews and it was a much more natural conversation.
I praised Zoe last year for the good job she was doing - as did several others.

Claudia's stock line was "did you love it?" And of course the answer was always "yes".

It is not the girls who are at fault.

Claudia was more willing to go off on a tangent, I think. I like Zoe, but she's awful for interrupting people. It's one of my pet hates.

There is too much content and too little time now I think. Many of us asked for more pace and content but it is too manic now. Hence Zoe at breakneck speed and little chance for reflection. I say get the postmortem stuff out of the way on Monday i.e.interview both eliminated and saved couple,do we really need it dragging on?

There seems to be an assumption briefing us in advance about dance content would bore the viewer and so they focus on gossipy stuff and costumes instead.

For the last couple of years she was in charge Claudia seemed to be just going through the motions. The 'I know nothing' lines were getting hard and harder to peddle after 7 series. Claudia had her own stock phrases that didn't seem spontaneous any more.

I think the producers of ITT want the show to be the same, whoever the presenter is - rather than letting the style of the presenter dictate the show.

I don't think it helps that this series seems to have more celebrities that are concerned about their public image and are media and pr trained so the chances of getting anything other than bland blandities aren't good.

I don't dislike Zoe but ITT is very bland without Claudia and her more spontaneous ad-libbing style. I feel Claudia would have had the wit to turn Il Divo's ignorance into a funny feature, for example. The main show would be great if Zoe took over from Bruce and Claudia took over from Tess.

Claudia was just as bad with her how excited were you,how nervous were you, how scared were you...
