Just watched "Gangnam Style" vid for the first time...
I decided that since over 800 million people had already "liked" it, I'd better get my backside in gear.
Not bad. |

I only watched for the first time a few days ago. Some of the parodies are quite funny.

I haven't followed the charts for going on 20 years so i had no idea it was a chart record, but I spend time playing around on YouTube and saw it there...........
even though I've no interest in the charts, I liked it immediately...........it;s a good tune and above all, good fun There's hundreds of versions on Youtube now, lots of parodies, flash mobs, dozens of different performance by PSY I like the 'live ' one in Seoul with a crowd of 20,000 or more all doing the dance................

To tell you the truth, if the last five years' worth of X Factor winners and runners-up were to break into my house, tie me up, tell me their names and sing their songs at me, I would only be able to tell the police that a bunch of people I didn't recognise had assaulted me. I often pick up the latest "Now!" CD only to find I don't recognise ANY of the acts or songs. I'm 24, and I'm at that stage FFS.

Heard this for the first time when Scott Mills was doing the breakfast show between Moyles leaving and Nick Grimshaw beginning. After listening to it everyday, it grew on me, it's the only novelty song that I actually like.

I have seriously started to hate that bloody song.
Hopefully North Korea do have some nukes to teach South Korea a lesson.

Thankfully avoided it so far.
Hearing the kids singing it constantly is annoying enough. |

I only became aware of it when the guy who "sings" it showed up on the Formula 1 warm-up show at, IIRC, the korean race. He's a bit, erm, "eccentric", isn't he?

I imagine it's become bigger than Carly Rae Jepsen's or Rebecca Black's novelty records due to the exoticness of the singer's location.
