Have you not heard that song before. He sang it with very few embellishments which is why it was a good performance.

It was someone doing an impromptu jam of the original. Painfully pretentious as usual, pointless repetition and stupid grunts which he seems to think conveys emotion.

I can't stand him mate, sorry.

He was brilliant , perhaps modern ears aren't attuned to that kind of thing anymore ? It's the only explanation I can think of for not being able to see what's blatantly obvious .
