I hope you're onto something there. I would add that he hasn't walked, so maybe despite wanting to go, he's still the sort of person who believes in trying their hardest?

Then how come they have both only been exempt from ONE trial on "medical grounds"??

My thoughts exactly. Colin wants to go, but the way Bristow has been getting under everyones skin with his rudeness, it would be so nice if Colin could just stay a little longer and see that awful man off.

If Colin wants to go why not just replace him with Sylvester McCoy in a dodgy wing

This trial involves reaching into holes in the wall, don't exactly have to be fit to do that!

I thought it was very revealing that people were hugging Colin after the announcement and apparently not Eric.

I did think Colin would throw it because he really wants to go. Then I thought, maybe he won't because he was doing the show for his daughters and would try in a task, just to have the experience.

Sadly I think Eric would beat Colin anyway.

I really hope he doesn't. Eric needs to go home

What is Colin's problem He chose to be there and it's not like he's been asked to do very much and yet he wants to leave. I wonder if it's just one of those things people say on RT shows as I couldn't help but notice how shocked he looked when his name was read out.

If he does end up leaving now at least we'll still always have the look on Eric's face when he realised he was in the bottom 2 to warm the cockles of our hearts with

Couldn't agree more. I'm really torn. As a big Doctor Who fan including stewarding at Conventions, I've had the pleasure of meeting Colin several times in the 80s and 90s. He truly is a lovely, intelligent, witty man and I'd say we haven't seen most of that but with heavy editing that's inevitable and probably true of other celebs. It seems clear that Colin really misses his family and wants to go but I hate the thought of him losing to Bristow.

I do think Colin is a stickler for sticking to the rules and a team player. He wouldn't walk because he's made a commitment to the programme, he'll stay there until voted out as the rules state. I also think he'll try if it means food for the camp. Unfortunately I suspect Eric will beat him.

Thankfully colin will be gone tomorrow, only 14 days to late, wot a waste of a camp mate.

Eric has got this in the bag and he knows it.

I don't like Eric so I want him to go.

I'm hoping that Colin's sense of pride will make him try his hardest to win the task despite wanting to go.

I did. Over on ITV2, Ant said the same to the presenter there and not in a good way. Not just us on here then.

That's what I thought - not like he's been put through the mill. I think he looked shocked that he actually has to do a trial.

Not fussed at all about Colin (I wasn't a Dr Who fan so don't really know much about him and have to form an opinion of him from what I've seen on the show) but I'd prefer him to stay rather than rotten Eric.

They'll both vye to get David as their partner to do half of the trial. Top moment would be that Colin chooses Hugo and Colin and Hugo win

I'm not surprised - last time he did a trial, it was fourteen episodes long and huge chunks of it made no sense whatsoever...

This is true it is in effect a Hugo vs David fight David is in pole position to choose who to save. a colin Hugo win would be excellent in that case.

Colin seemed to be shocked that he is actually expected to do anything other than sit around and be the nice guy. My first thought was that he will throw the trial so he can get out of there. I dont think its fair that they have to dredge others from the camp with them to hold their hands. Neither of them has done a trial yet so it should be down to them only.

Colin will probably take ashley or hugo and Eric will take the Hayemaker and guess who will win? Unless Eric takes Helen, it can never be an even setting.

I hope he gives the trial his best and think he will. I imagine Eric will choose David for his partner and if Colin wants to win then he will pick Hugo or Ashley as his, although in the bed bug trial even Rosemary showed she's got 'true grit'. If he wants to lose he'll choose Helen!

He wasn't shocked about the trial, he was disappointed that he wasn't going straight to his family.

Oh I don't know - if Hugo can ignore his fear of spiders, I think he will match up to David. I wouldn't write Ashley off either - she seems to have a real backbone and a go-for-it attitude.

Would love to see Ashley and Hugo as the final two.
