What a ridiculous over statement! Everyone? The whole of Liverpool? I spend a lot of time in Liverpool and my partner lives there, working in one of the big hospitals, we have both said the same thing, it is impossible to find anyone who admits to liking Christopher. The older people there I've chatted to prefer Jahmene because he is a 'lovely boy', people do not blindly support Christopher just because he's a Scouser. Some absolutely can't stand him as a representative of their city and have defaced some of the posters.
Sure he will be getting some support from his home city as every contestant will be but it really is a curious anomaly his clear popularity because of real actual scousers I know in the city, they cannot stand him. |

No one likes him here at all, loads of people on twitter etc who have met him are saying what he is really like. Rebecca had huge support, it was a bit ridiculous but there is no support for baloney whatsoever. Keepkris is a blatent troll though so just ignore him.
Ive been saying for weeks i hate baloney and i still do but ive wanted him to win since jade left as this is such a shite series and watching it die every week is more fun than watching it when it is good plus it would piss off cowell and the producers! I cant believe people are bringing hillsborough into this! Do you really think the city is crying out for baloney to win to make everything seem ok and give us a boost lol this shitty irrelevant tv competition doesnt even register on most scoucers minds let alone giving us "the victory we need". Jesus! |

I love Christopher, as obviously do most people. Do you seriously think anyone believes the anti-Christopher krap posted on this forum? |

Christopher Maloney and his popularity in Liverpool
I've made a similar thread today, but..
It's clear how popular he is in his hometown, all the scousers are absolutely loving him. Some are even going as far to say that he and his music style is a fresh alternative to the Beatles. So the question is, is it just because he's getting strong support from his hometown the reason he's made it so far? Or is he popular elsewhere? I can't see the scousers letting this one slip through the net, as they'll make sure he wins. |

I promise you faithfully that most scousers can't stand him. It's not a regional vote, there's a silent majority of over 50s all over the country that love his old-fashioned style.

Someone on here said earlier that he's getting more support than Rebecca or Marcus ever did.
But then again they were at least liked by the majority of people across the country. |

You must be in the minority, because everyone else seems to love him up there. |

Someone must have been on some strong drugs if they said "he and his music style is a fresh alternative to the Beatles".
Any evidence of this? |

Hes a boring, shouty orange faced Diva who has a nasty streak and its a shame he was in this competition at all as he has completely spoilt it for many......loads of them from Liverpool too. |

We supported Rebecca and Marcus but if you ask people here about him they'll show a lack of interest! I don't know where his votes are coming from but the majority of Liverpool aren't backing him. He's embarrassing us. Now turn it in with the 'Liverpool are comparing Chris to the Beatles' thread because they're false, lame and annoying. If you haven't been to Liverpool and are just assuming by past years then your only option is to come down and ask around yourself. |

From my knowledge, he's a lot more liked and popular up there than any other scouse contestant, by an absolute country mile.
Those scousers worship the ground he walks on apparently. Fresh alternative to the Beatles. |

Christopher Maloney - a fresh alternative to the Beatles (apparently)
A friend of a friend (from Liverpool) told me that the scousers are starting to regard Chris as a 'fresh alternative to the Beatles.'
That's quite a big thing to say in my opinion. But as he's so popular over there, fair play to him. |
