I'm sure James and Jahmene have decent support from their home towns, but theirs probably isn't even a fraction on the amount of support Chris is getting from Liverpool!

Those scousers are absolutely loving him apparently, to the point where no one can say a bad word about him as he's "one of their own."

If it wasn't for his strong Merseyside fanbase, he'd have been gone on week 1!

Is it really that though? Marcus and Rebecca only got to 2nd in recent years, and both started off very slowly.

It's Cowell's antics that are also helping him.

I don't think its home support that getting him through. I think its just a campaign to annoy Simon Cowell trouble is its at Christophers expense

Well Rylan was on this morning show and he is backing Chris for the win. There was supposed to be so many people who did not like him but Christopher tweeted Rylan and said they had become best of friends and reminded him that he had promised to call him that night

What I found interesting was Rylan saying, If i had won the show , it would have been the last of x factor, it would have lost all credibility and many people would have lost their jobs

My whole Family come from Liverpool and we can't stand Chris Boloney. We would never ever vote for him. We just can't stand him, especially the way he spoke about Ella. That was disgusting. Rylan seemed such a lovely geniue person. We hope Chris doesn't make the final.

Dolly doo I'm so glad to see your post. I was beginning to think there was something in the water in Liverpool making people vote for Christopher. You've restored my faith in the Liverpool population. But one question still remains, who the hell is keeping Christopher out of the bottom 2 every week???

Every week we get the same old spiel about how he is working the hardest (How's that Christopher? Generally you don't have any real choreography for the songs, and aside from that surely he's doing the same publicity etc as everyone else). Every week when faced with any criticism he takes it with sour grapes when any other act says ok, I'll try harder next week.

The scouse personality and accent endears him to many people around the country and the fact that the judges are being nasty to him every week only increases his popularity.

That's why he''s getting millions of votes, it's not rocket science..

Oh come on now. Be fair. He had so much choreography this last weekend that I thought I was watching a full scale ballet!

I'm sick of these threads he is not getting support, my facebook goes mental when he gets through with people saying he is an embarrassment to Merseyside.

and you already started a thread on this topic

Liverpool has an underground rail network covering the central part. At least it did when I last visited.

There is no bloody home support! Liverpool can't stand him just like the rest of the country!

I think people are barking up the wrong tree here.
I am from Liverpool and am fairly ambivalent , I think hate is a very strong word that everyone is banding around, it's a pretty banal singing contest. There have been worse contestants and there have been much better.
The reason why people are voting for Chris is the same reason I could be tempted - the sympathy vote, the lad is just working hard and doing his best, but the judges have it in for him every week, two or three can't help being snidey with him every week, and making smart arse comments at his expense.
They kept Rylan in on a fiddle and lost at least two half decent acts in doing that.
I hope Chris Maloney does win it to be honest, it really has run it's course and needs pulling.
Oh and this having a pop at Liverpool for the sake of it on here, without having the decency to visit, as one or two have done, it's very very old hat.

NOT TRUE. I'm from Liverpool. I don't know a single scouser voting for him. We pretty much hate him.

I don't get how Chris is working so hard? What is he doing that the others aren't? I mean this as a serious question

Maybe he is rehearsing more, spending less time out and about being 'famous'. Maybe he is spending more time preparing mentally and discussing things with confidants. It is quite possible that he could be sure that he is working harder than the others. That said, I think it's just a harmless turn of phrase which, this being Christopher, has been jumped on and used to beat him.

At the end of the day, it's the people's choice and the majority of his votes are coming from the Merseyside direction.
