Definitely had our eyes open, it was a special treat we found some Tesco days out vouchers in the back of a drawer that were expiring today - we have had a really poo year so it was a lovely bonus. Obviously, in one day we couldn't see everywhere, but we went from Seacoombe to Pierhead to Liverpool One, then down Paradise Street and cut through to the Cavern area and back to Pier Head. We saw lots of statues of the Beatles, lots of Christmas stalls, a human sized Snow Globe that you could play in, Wallace and Grommit in space together with a film about what it's like to be an astronaught and lots of other exciting things, but not a single poster of Chris or any other X Factor contestant.

What I can say, is that in the 12 years since I have been to Liverpool it has really blossomed into an innovative and interesting modern city.

I live in Liverpool. There was a poster supporting Christopher in one of the bars in Mathew Street two weeks ago... can't remember name of bar,,,, it's sort of place that would be lively with karaoke and under-age drinkers on payday. I surmised that it must be a place where Christopher once graced the stage and/or his relatives have a connection with the place. I have not seen a single poster anywhere else relating to him though.
I can't say I pay much heed to local radio (it's pretty brain-dead) but I do hear it in the gym a few times a week. and I've not heard anything relating to Christopher at all.
All in all I can see no evidence of Christopher being especially popular in Liverpool. I do remember previous contestants like Marcus, Rebecca and Eaton Road having noticeable support, love and promotion on the streets of Liverpool though.... it's blindingly obvious Christopher has nothing like they had.
Personally, I suspect Christopher's vote comes from older viewers across the nation who probably have records by Des O'Connor, Matt Munro and Max Bygraves in their collections.

This is what, your third of fourth thread about Chris and Liverpool?

Do you not yet get the point, so you need to keep creating new threads? Not one of your threads has had an ounce of evidence, you just say "so I've heard" etc. I don't get what your issue with Liverpool is, but you're clearly xenophobic or trolling.

Why is it when a Marmite act advances in the X Factor it's presumed their home city is responsible? It's understandable when someone is from a small town or village where the chances of a high vote are likely but Liverpool is massive. And to go one further, an entire country was blamed when Jedward kept getting through, and being Irish I didn't much like being held accountable for them staying in the competition. I'm guessing there's loads of people in Liverpool who like Chris as much as there are people who don't like him. It's a bit of a generalization to presume they're all behind him.

Well I'm from Liverpool and as Jim Royle would say 'I couldn't give a shiny shite' who wins. I don't actually hate Christopher - I just think (like most of them on this year's show) he's nothing more than a Karaoke singer.

I've never voted in this kind of thing (I think the last time I voted in a 'celebrity' thing - was for David Gest in his year on IACGMOOH) but if I was ... I think I'd pass on this year's XF offerings - they're all pretty rubbish. Even the great Ella only looked 'great' because all around her were slightly worse.

Why are people assuming that all Christopher's fans live in Liverpool?
I am a Christopher Maloney fan and I am a Southerner. The man sings well and I like his singing so there.
We all have dfferent tastes and some of us vote for what we see and hear on the X Factor.
Whatever is said in the press or the vile words that come out of Tulisa's mouth will not sway me from voting for who's performance I liked best each week.
