Loved Rebecca, didn't like Marcus that much....he was too slithery for my liking

I want him to get to the final just to prove to people Liverpool are not behind him, Rebecca drew crowds to the city's arena, Chris will be lucky to fill his local boozer!

I don't like him at all, neither does anyone I know. And I haven't seen any posters or banners.

Apparently those scousers came out in full force to support their man on his homecoming today.

The amount of support he's getting from Liverpool is unreal, I've heard.

Rumour has it that he's been dubbed 'a fresh alternative to the Beatles' by the locals too, which is quite a big thing.

Ha ha.. from what I saw online, the turnout appeared modest but everybody seemed happy enough.

I used to live with a guy at Uni halls who said when one direction came to their school, banners were handed out and everyone was to go outside and cheer for them. He went to the same school as Louis so maybe it's something they do for all the acts.

I think his stuff has been harmless enough. The power of repetition is a powerful device in art and keepkris is an artist in the broadest sense surely.

A lot probably came out to see Gary Barlow and to get on telly.

I am friends with Ray Quinn, and they did do it his year to. I was in friends and family part of crowd and seen them. That said some people still turned up with their own banners but they have some on reserve incase there isnt enough that wont look too good for television. Its all a setup for TV, surely you people must know this by now, TV isnt always as it seems.

As for OP saying 'scousers' out in force. I am a scouser and I werent out in force at all! Im happy for Chris he has got this far but most of us 'scousers' are as shocked as the rest of the nation that he has gotten so far, not because of lack of talent but because his style is very old fashioned, and obviously Ella deserved the place more.

the turn out at the ferry was poor , but apparently the venue he sang at sold out 2500 seats in less than 10 minutes, so god knows if it was a great or poor reception
