Steve tonight sang his heart out on top of the pops.

A little nervous to start, but he sang very well and received a great reception from a really huge crowd.

Excellent job Steve

I like Steve a lot, but I have a strange feeling we didn't quite see what the audience saw.

There's a troll on another thread putting the wind up them about G4 splitting up at the moment, so I would imagine they are busy googling news sites

He handled it well though.

I am a G4 fan, and its good to know that Steve did well tonight.

He did win the show, and I am not bitter at all. Yes I am disappointed about G4, but it doesnt mean that I cant wish Steve well. I hope all the stories of him forgetting words, and the booing are just being hyped up by people who want to knock someone down, simply because he is there.

Which words did he forget ? Because i didnt hear any missing or jumbled words

If there was booing that couldnt be heard on the TV, then you must have been there in person then right ?

I didn't notice him forgetting the words either, but I wasn't concentrating too much at the end and I do remember looking up and seeing him looking a bit fed up at one point, so maybe there was a slight moment - I don't know.

I thought it was a really good performance, and Fearne seemed to like it

The trouble with an event like that is the type of audience who were there are not the most obvious type of people to be into Steve and I think all in all it went down well, there prob were a few boos, but nowhere near as many as some people had lead us to think. I reckon G4 would have had a hard time of it as well there with this particular audience, I wonder what reception they would have got - probably pretty similar I would have thought.

Thanks Mary

I hope your boys do well as well - I'm sure there's room for both them and Steve

The BBC heavily edited that. They edited out the continuous booing before he came on, and as he arrived. They also edited out him screwing it up at first, being booed & blaming it on the crowd.

I am a big G4 fan, but that doesn't mean I can't like Steve as well.

The booing was widely reported, it may have been overblown but it's a fact that Scot Mills had to tell them to shut up. Steve himself even said "There was a lot of noise and the booing just threw me."

And he forgot the words at the end.

.....I don`t think the booing was a rumour.....several people who were there reported it. Wasn`t it mainly before he came on, so maybe they were able to edit that part out
