In your opinion...? What is that really makes that great concert? Is it all the fancy fireworks (whats the fancy word for those)? Jumping around the stage? Interacting with the audience? Or sitting, on a stool with a guitar and an empty stage? Etc, etc...
What makes a good concert?
music and singing that comes from real instruments played by the performers and not from a backing tape , would be a good starting point
Radioheads amazing lighting rig. Hey it was cool. About 5 or 6 men sat at the top of the lighting rig during radiohead's set. They were strapped into car seats and got an absolute soaking. And Mr Yorke is not a miserable person.

42,000 people who are soaked to the bone (who don't seem to care), and singing along to creep was a momment i'll never forget. Ah south park oxford 2001. Best night of my life (and i was a big REM fan back in those days). That soon changed.

How about some fireworks (or the equivalent), some great dancing, some great singing, some quiet sitting-on-a-stool type singing, lots of interaction with the audience?

A great band who can actually play and perform songs that I love and can howl along to. In a nice intimate venue with a good bar. Plus a good friendly mosh pit (there is such a thing!) and a good atmosphere amongst the crowd The next morning, I should be slightly battered and bruised, as deaf as a post and be the proud owner of a nice new band t-shirt.
I'm a no-frills kinda girl, don't normally need big lights, bells and whistles to keep me happy
(The only exception to the above was when I saw Orbital at Glasto several years ago: the lights and stage set were such a part of it all that you couldn't say it didn't add to the show)

Although there are some exceptions - Muse at Wembley last year wouln't have been the same without the confetti bombs
