Netflix question
Apologies if this as been asked before, but I can't find a thread on it...
I have a Netflix account and, because of work, I spend weekends at home in London and weekdays sharing a flat in Manchester. I have Apple TV in both locations. Is it possible for my flatmates to watch something using my Netflix account in Manchester at the same time I'm watching something different on Netflix in London? |

Pretty sure only one instance of netflix can be used at a time.

Thanks. That would have been my guess. But there are conflicting opinions online and the Netflix website doesn't seem clear on the point.

Why not try it and see what happens.
I do know that if your using the likes of unblock-us aswell then you can only use in one location at a time. |

Yes you can have it streaming on two different devices at the same time.
In my house there is both an xbox and ps3 and we regularly have netflix streaming on both devices at the same time. |

^^ Not that I have tried it myself, but I suspect what you do above is fine as it is within the same Network. This would hint to Netflix that it is likely both instances of Netflix on the one account are being viewed in the same household.
However, watching in London and Manchester at the same time would require two different networks and this most likely will be blocked by Netflix or ring a few alarm bells. |

^^ I stand corrected :O)
This is a pretty unusual thing to do on Netflix's part, but if it works for you, I'll take your word for it. Do you know then how Netflix manages this to ensure people are not abusing the system? |

Thanks for the replies, everyone. That's really kind. I guess I really need to suck-it-and-see! But it sounds hopeful.

On netflix, go to Your Account and see if you have "Change plan". Here is a screenshot of the US version: http://w26radio.com/Screenshot.png If you don't have the same thing, I guess the only to find out if it works is to try it. -Eban |

Once again, thanks for all the replies. I tried it over the weekend and, yes, I can watch one stream in London while my flatmates watch another in Manchester. It seems it's okay if it's no more than two different streams. You've all been very helpful, thanks!
