Is that a sly dig if I spelt something wrong tell me because I've never pulled anyone up about spelling being Dyslexic myself I need to keep a dictionary beside the computer I check things over but sometimes things slip through the net.

....I`ve loved the humour and the lighthearted banter on these Forums. I dislike intensely the name calling, the insults .......totally unnecessary in my opinion. I can honestly say that the die-hard fans of G4 have a good relationship with their counterparts over on Team Steve and have never resorted to name-calling and personal abuse. In fact, I often pop over there, as do some other of my mates to pass on information which may not have been picked up on about their boy. I suppose there will always be the odd one or two who let the side down by continuing with the not so nice name calling.

Well one actually did and they have been banned for it. Also I believe there was some removed threads from a G4 fan hasn't there? Not exactly 'never'.

Sadly there's not much left I do like about this forum. I used to like the fun and banter we had on the Team G4 thread. It wasn't hurting anyone and yes it might have been drivel to some people, especailly the 'magic flute' convo's but we were having fun and I don't see anything wrong with that.

I dislike the people who come here to cause trouble and there have been a few, luckily the worst anti G4 one got banned last week so he/she's gone.

I hate the way some people have been deliberately riled to the point that they get really cross and then get banned even to the point of fibs being made up about things they are supposed to have said - scary

I hate the way even on this thread when it is (I believe) perfectly acceptable to say what you like and dislike, posters like Penny have been baited yet again.

I think it is sad when really nice people like my friends on the Team G4 thread are afraid to post anywhere else for fear of beind ridiculed by the same posters over and over again.

I also dislike the way some members of the forum want it done their way and will stop at nothing to get that.

On the positive side, I have met some lovely people, Pen, Emzy, Mocha, Chuh, Crowontour, angelac, DenJ, Diva, Zelana, GemlovesJon, Arty, Mrs Wilko and of course Spell, what would we have done without her and her fabulous posts and the others who post now and again on Team G4 (sorry if I've forgotton anyone), you've all been great- thanks for keeping it fun guys.

I like team Steve, Team Tabby and The Go Ro Campainers. Especially Karen (wee ding dong) who has been absolutely fab and Susan and the others who often pop over to wish the boys luck and to share snippets of info.

I like the funny threads like the Team no Team and the Jon sings Queen thread, I like people who make me laugh like Munta, Satchmo, the many posters on the Team no Team thread.

Right now I feel like Sarah Jessica Parker at the Globe Awards

I am sad that some people have left but I can't blame them.

Its been fun mostly but its been unpleasant too, sadly, but my favourite thing about this forum is the ignore button

Like baileybots said, posters who stay in one fan thread and never come out to debate

Poster's who use text style speech like " ne way" " b cuz u r well fit"

I love hearing what people think, and being updated on bits I might have missed (eg. the contestants on other programmes etc), but dislike the whole 'I think x and you think y, so you must be wrong' attitude - musical tastes are obviously subjective, so why even try to convert other people, let alone insult them in the process?

My oh my, you certainly have a lot of dislikes!

I like the humour and when people don't get the humour and start getting all worked up about things.

I like the way people are so passionate about a TV show and hope that passion will now spill out into other areas of their life now the show is over.

I like the way people make me laugh on here - it is always good to make people laugh even when it is unintentional.

I like the way Rowetta has come on to keep her fans up to date with what she is doing and to thank them for their support.

I don't like messages that are impossible to read due to being all one sentence or in a language that I only understand occasional words of. They may be saying something very interesting but I'll never know.

I don't like personal insults - if I like one thing and you like something else it doesn't make either of us bad people.

I like the wit and banter, and am in awe at the speed at which some posters pick up on bits of postings to deliver knock-out comebacks.

I dislike the pomposity of those posters who can't take a dig at themselves (individually or as Team x)

I like the knowledge some posters display and the impartial way they post it - for me it adds a new perspective to the show.

I dislike the posters who pretend to be knowledgeable (but it is amusing when they don't realise how patently obvious this is!)

I like the exuberance of the younger posters (anyone else remember what it's like to be so.o.o in love with a hero?) And have also been impressed with the maturity some have shown in dealing with some of the excesses displayed lately.

More so than some supposed adults who seem to delight in egging them on. WTF is that about? Trying to get one over on a 13 year old? And in some cases actually bragging about it on other boards?

I like breaking off work for a schmooze round the boards - especially when work is taking me through the night and inspiration is running out.

I dislike having to weigh up each posting and trying to cover each eventuality because of the attitude of some posters.

Overall, likes outweigh dislikes - came onto the board initially as a (probably) over-protective parent; found this one to be a great time-user while OH mainly overseas and would like to stick around!

Mostly, I've found my baptism into the realm of forums very enjoyable.

I like taking on board the views of people, who are far more knowledgeable than me in certain areas, and standing back to see if I can see where they are coming from and whether there is merit in the viewpoint and I have had good debates with several posters notably Spell. There are others but I haven't been here long enough to sort everybody out properly.

I dislike the way posters have latched onto a favourite and then fail to see any merit in any other artist and the blinkered approach of applying one criteria only as a measure of each act's talent. There has been a regime of constantly refuting any criticism - to me no act on this show is that perfect.

The name calling, personal insults and back biting etc. I couldn't give a toss about myself but perhaps it isn't how a civilised debating forum should proceed - I don't know - I have nothing to compare with.

I have laughed and laughed at some of the hilarious posters here Kewpee, Satchmo, Eileen to name a few - I only wish I could think that quickly!

I like all the passion displayed on this forum, it sometimes spills over into not so nice insults, but at least people are getting emotionally involved. It gives me hope that society isn't becoming as blandified (word?) as I had feared.

I love all the fun threads, No Team Team, all the song threads (we need more), and some of the one liners that make you spill your tea.

I love Team Tabby and everyone in it, Team Steve and Team G4 I haven't ventured into much, but they have been friendly when I have. The Go Ro campaign has been great.

I dislike the assumption by some, that if you have a favourite, that means you automatically 'hate' everyone else.

I also dislike the call for changing the judges, I don't know any of them personally, but they have all made the show
interesting and given us plenty to post about. Better that than three bland opinion less clones.

I like having debates about the acts, but i dislike debates when they get personal, which is v.unfair as no-one really knows each other as real people

I liked the update threads during the shows - and read them all on sunday mornings (all 35 pages...). I liked the song lyrics thread, the early SCAB days, team no-team, Zip Gypsy (I miss you!!)... I liked learning from Spell and others who know what they're talking about.

I liked debates where both sides stuck to the rules of the forum and didn't try to upset eachother. I liked Sarah and Emma - where are they!!

I dislike when people have over stepped the line and got personal. I dislike the barage of nonsense threads that resulted in the interesting ones getting lost.

I'm not too sure about the fan threads. I guess team g4 sometimes made me feel a little old(!)

I think some members are getting a little carried away tho' and like you, I think the 'magic flute' thing is just embarassing! There's nothing wrong with a healthy teenage crush on someone who's been on tv, but it's concerning when you know that some authors have been out of their teens for a long time AND said tv star's parents read the threads (ew!!)
