Linda was nice, too. She'd also started to sort Eric out a bit, giving him chat back. Out she went and fair enough because she wasn't making much of an impact.

So what's the difference between her and Charlie apart from that Linda was getting funnier but Charlie wasn't and that Charlie has been in Eastenders ? Eastenders. If Charlie wins it'll be a win for Eastenders rather than for the best celeb in camp.

I'm not saying Charlie has been rubbish, but she's been overshadowed by every campmate left in there.

I won't be surprised if she wins, but I'll be disappointed. You could've not put her in the jungle, and it would still have been the same show.
But thats because Hugo and David have hogged the tasks and Helen got a whole string of them. Ashley got some big tasks and was picked to get the starring role in the camp disturbers ongoing task. Charlie has been written out - she's just done pretty well in what little she's been given. The other two are there for negatives. Rosemary is the loud potential annoying aunty and Eric is there to be terrible. If you don't get tasks and you are not the joke candidate or the difficult campmate there is nothing to do.

The final reckoning will come down to who gets and is impressive in the remaining tasks, and who ITV want to be in the last two. The assignment of tasks suggests thats Ashley and David. Ashley probably deserves it, David has never left his comfort zone.

Is there a Corrie versus Eastenders voting rivalry I wonder. Not on DS I mean.

I like them all this year but I'm most surprised by how much Hugo has grown on me (his bit about distracting helen by throwing the ball at her head was funny). Charlie on the other hand has all but disappeared and she was one of my favourites at the start. Maybe it is down to editing or maybe she is just being overshadowed by bigger characters.

Hardly a big margin. It's pretty close between Charlie and Ashley in the Tellymix poll :-

Charlie Brooks (24%, 615 Votes)
Ashley Roberts (21%, 540 Votes)
David Haye (15%, 385 Votes)
Rosemary Shrager (14%, 356 Votes)
Helen Flanagan (11%, 272 Votes)
Eric Bristow (9%, 237 Votes)
Hugo Taylor (6%, 149 Votes)

And I didn't know they released the figures for the This Morning polls.
That poll is hardly a big one either. I'd put the fact that it has been correct in previous years down to luck. OP I wouldn't be that confident just yet.

It's not THAT poll i think is accurate. Yeah its got the winner right every year. Its the This Morning Poll - its never been wrong. I thought Rosemary would be topping it.

Yes he has been nasty, yes he is a c*nt, but he's contributing the most to the show. The most controversial ones are always the ones that provide and entertain the most, without them we'd have nothing to talk about and eventually the show would fall flat on its face. It's the same as Big Brother, the arseholes should be the ones saved and crowned the winner because we aren't living with them. The idea is to keep them in for maximum drama, the best possible TV etc.

Charlie has done nothing noteworthy and has been a totally pointless addition. Her winning would be very undeserved.
I don't agree. I think, yes Eric has contributed to the show. But he is a horrible, disgusting rat of a man that brings absolutely NO enjoyment to the show. The only 2 people, imo, that bring any enjoyment to the show are Rosemary and Charlie.

Maybe a little on DS. In actual voting terms - I can't see any Corrie fan voting at all and maybe not as many EE fans as people make out.

They won't let Charlie win, she works for BBC1.

And I've never forgiven her for pushing Barry down that hill and killing him

Horrible and disgusting just about sums up Eric. I have to try to stop myself from gagging when I even hear his name, whoever it was who dragged him up needs shooting.

I agree about Rosemary and Charlie, Rosemary for being herself, she never was someone to mess with, she is who she is and at least she has social graces even if she did forget to wash her hands when preparing the fruit, I would imagine that the actual sight of real food excited her so much that her enthusiasm fogged her brain.

Charlie? The actress who I loathed because I'd associated her with her EastEnders alter ego? Thank goodness that I've got a brain in my head and I've managed to separate the two because Charlie isn't anything like Janine. Charlie is lovely, lovely to look at and lovely in nature. I've not received one negative vibe from Charlie Brooks and her loved ones are rightly proud of her, just as I would be if she was one of mine.

If you combined the footage of the three people who worked predominantly for the BBC... Linda, Colin and Charlie they would still have less than Helen and probably Ashley as well... why did ITV put them in there to begin with if they weren't going to get a fair shot? Although this may be part of it I don't think it is the full reason because Joe Swash won and he worked for the BBC... I think ITV wanted Helen as the winner.

The only time any of them are/were shown it was as part of Helen's story... the absolute blatancy of the editing is so annoying. I have never watched any of the soaps and had no idea who Charlie was before this but I will vote for her if she is in the final because what little I have seen of her was amusing and secondly because imo ITV are taking the peesh... I voted Colin for the same reason.

I think ITV realises Helen cannot win so are promoting Ashley in her place... I actually like all of the celebs this year and I have never joining in the editing conspiracy theories before but this is overt... they cannot show the Charlie as a biatch although they initially tried very hard so they don't show her at all.

Eric's editing is also suspect since what the celebs leaving are saying is not reflected in the show at all... although I do think Eric should leave Helen alone as she is not quick enough to respond to him and it comes across as him bullying her.

I hate that for the first time ever I feel manipulated by the show. I'd watch the X Factor if I wanted to support the chosen before the show starts winner.

I don't usually buy in to conspiracy thoeries but I noticed that Charlie and Colin were not used in the secret trial. Helen was used three times...the mirror, the washing and being lied to. Eric and Rosemary were also lied to and Ashley not only led the task she got to do her song and dance routine again. David and Hugo had already done several tasks guaranteeing them airtime, and yet they were chosen for something that even Colin could have managed...it didn't require big strong men.

It doesn't matter who wins at the end of the day but I don't like being manipulated.

http://tellymix.co.uk/reality-tv/im-...he-jungle.html :- This poll is a bit deceiving as they never re-set it.

Whereas This Mornings poll is a new one each day :-http://www.itv.com/thismorning/

Didn't stop them from plugging Joe Swash from Day 1 of his series.

Isn't it likely that it will be mostly This Mornings viewers that will be voting on that? I know its on-line, but people at work who never watch the show wouldn't really think to go on to their website would they? Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd doubt if thats representative?

I said that yesterday but was firmly put in my place by being told that you can vote on line. I am so glad that you pointed it out as well. I dont feel so bad now.

strange if true, she has no presence for me
I think she has a lot of presence, she is not attention seeking but seems mature, balanced and intelligent.

I like her although I knew nothing about her before this. I think she is very ordinary. Maybe thats what people like.

I would prefer Charlie or Rosemary to win
