The apparent protest vote for Christopher Maloney that some on DS seem to think is happening, has been (probably fairly) criticised for possibly being cruel to Christopher, giving him false hope.
But is this any crueler than the judges heaping praise onto Jahmene week after week, when (IMO) he really isnt an outstanding singer, or has enormous pop star charisma? Surely the judges are giving Jahmene real hope that he will have a successful recording career and past experience has shown that acts similar to Jahmene dont tend to last long once the X-factor hype has died...
