This has got to be the first time that I don't loathe the remainder of the campmates.even Eric and Hugo have become bearable, whereas I couldn't stand them before.

Totally agree. Ashley to win but nobody actually makes my blood boil.

All good campmates this year, much better than arguments as in other years.

I've got to admit, that I loved the year that Stacey won, because the final week was just full of feel-good antics.

This year feels the same. It's been a series of "two halves" with Helen making all the controversy at the start, but loads of funny and entertaining stuff as we go towards the end.

Personally for me, I would love to see it capped by Ashley winning. She's been just the perfect contestant, and I don't think anybody could argue a case for her not to deserve a victory.

However, I feel that the GBP are adverse to voting for a less well-known non-Brit.
It also puzzles me that nobody leaving yet has pointed towards her as their fave or a contender, maybe if/when some of the younger mates leave...

Hope I'm wrong about the GBP. Vote for Ash!

I quite like all of them too, now, to be honest - even the ones that annoyed me early on.
I do get a bit irritated still that some are pushed more than others, but that's down to the producers, rather the celebs themselves, I suppose.

Ashley is the only one not to have any selfish tendencies.Charlie had a totally ridiculous hissy fit about not being selected for one of the trials, and blamed the men for being sexist, yet when asked more than once if she wanted to go said "I don't mind,I'm easy",were as EVERYONE wanted David because they were starving.David said he'll wind everyone up because it makes him happy, and he has a slightly nasty streak behind it all.Rosemary is ok but can be a bit annoying after a while.Ashley to win definitely.

True

There's been no-one who I couldn't wait to be shot of this year ... even Eric ( who, I suspect, was portrayed as the panto baddy for a while ) isn't really that bad

If we're being pedantic about one moment, Ashley was the one who made the biggest fuss about getting the call home (I would have given it to someone with a young son/daughter who misses their parent personally) and also tried to put herself up for the trial the day after she already did one.

I suppose you could argue Charlie's was a little more two faced but personally I like Charlie and Ashley in equal measure

Apart from one campmate who I think has done nothing in camp to deserve winning, I wouldn't mind seeing any of the others winning.

Of the remaining campmates, she's the one I'd sooner see out next too, as it happens

I've been vocal in my 'dislike' of Helen and Eric ... but, in fairness, they've both brought more to the show in entertainment terms than Charlie has

Thats what they were there for. Charlie isn't there to be silly or obnoxious. She's there to do what she's asked to - and Helen , Ashley, Rory and David are the ones who have been given the tasks to do.

Have to agree with this. Maybe it's because I've got three young children but that really irritated me - as did Ashley's pushing for David and shouting Charlie down when Charlie wanted to do the task.

I like Ashley a lot - she'd be in my top three with Hugo and Charlie; but I don't find her as funny or personable as either of them. She great - lovely girl; but not the 'perfect' campmate others are making her out to be. Not half complex enough for my tastes.

I like Ashley but we tend not to vote for the Americans and Australians to win this thing, we usually stick to our own.

Ashley's been great, but I'm surprised she's in there. She already has a successful career and everything going for her. It's not like she needs the boost of winning.

Eric still makes my blood boil . The campmates just learned how to handle him and coupled with a bottom two he lost his narky , arrogant old git persona all of a sudden .One good programme and people forget how rude he was .

Personally I don't agree with that. All the other campmates family had access via the TV, to see how their loved one was getting on, all except Ashley's,I totally agree with her reasons, and thankfully so did her fellow campmates.

I think that I'd be quite good at the trials, but if I thought that someone else would do them better than me, then I'd let them do it, forget all the men are better than women or vise versa. And seeing Charlie helping Colin in the trial for survival, she didn't seem that good.

David Haye is hardly struggling, in fact i think it was Eric Bristow who said that there are a few campmates who have got a lot of money.

Funnily enough, I think charlie would have been every bit as good as David at that task - she's lighter. It was easy if you were OK with heights.

You constantly confuse your subjective personal dislike of someone with a more objective assessment of their worth.

It is not anything to be proud of.

No one has done 'nothing' to deserve winning - to say otherwise just shows your own blinkered (and not very attractive personality trait) of not being prepared to see an alternate view, even if you don't agree with it.

It's called maturity. It's also called distinguishing between fact and opinion (something I teach in my job) and having the gracious humility to know the difference.

But perhaps some people are neither gracious nor humble... and, worse, so arrogant that they are proud of being neither and wear it as a 'badge of honour'... but if that is the case then I'm glad they are not part of my life.

Rory's been very quiet this series but I think he's a worthy winner.
