Do people really see Jahmene as being way more marketable than Christopher?
To start this I am a Jahmene fan who can't bare Christopher, I was shocked when he was voted in as the wild card (nevermind him lasting this long) because he isn't likable for me and his style of music is not to my taste.
That being said when there is all this talk of how the producers don't want Christopher to win do people think they would be happy with Jahmene? I like him so feel bad for saying this but I just don't see him having a mega successful singing career. If either one of them wins I see them being dropped from Simon's label after the first album, I don't think either one is what they are looking for in a winner. |

Jahmene to me makes a sound like a cat being strangled every time he sings. That being so, I don't think he is marketable at all and I can't think why anyone would buy his music.
However, maybe the sound of cats being strangled is all the rage these days. Tulisa seems to like it. |

Jahmene will be back in Asda in a couple of years. Totally devoid of any personality and a very average voice.

How you can say that is beyond me. Jahmene is a terrific singer and extremely marketable in my opinion. Clearly the judges think so too, so why you think he isn't is mystifying.

I don't : not many people seemed to have picked up that he is rather bland, middle of the road and dated. He's certainly not as "cabaret" as Chris, but he's not exactly modern either.

No, its really not. I lived in the States for 4 years and I heard tonnes of better more talented, charismatic singers on both Idol and other talent shows.

![]() And seriously, he is pitch perfect with soul. That's not a combination you hear every day. He definitely has a market (it's not me but none of them are this year). |

I don't see there being a market for him here, Jahmene has made it clear that ultimately he would like to be a Gospel singer, His style of singing lends well for that. There is no real market for gospel singers in the UK...that is why I say his market is the USA
Im actually quite worried about Jahmene, I think when relaity sets in a few months and he has bombed, he will have some form of mental breakdown thanks to this show. |

There's more to music than the top 40 charts. |

He will be back shopping in Adsa. I suspect he will be close to his first million in less than a few years time.

If he was a good gospel singer, Id agree that he could have some small niche success in the States but the reality is there are hundreds of better gospel singers there with more personality than Jahmene.

Well i have followed all the contestants this past few weeks on twitter and in that very short time it is very clear that Jahmene is a very gentle type of guy. His true passion for music is Gospel because it goes hand in hand with his love for God. He has a few times put the feelers out to his fans asking how they would feel about Gospel music, I dont know what kind of response he got obviously, But that is where his heart lies.

However I still think Jahmene could have a career in music, I just don't think he is what the X factor is looking for any more than Christopher is. |
