I've never heard him sing by himself, just with the others. The other 3 all get solo lines, but he never gets an individual part. I'm starting to think we're never gonna hear what his voice sounds like...
Will JJ from Union J ever get a solo line?
He actually has a decent voice, he's a lot better than George. He sort of sang solo during "Love Story", Jaymi was singing background but JJ's voice was very clear.
Not sure who they all are but I did notice that one got missed out last night.
These boy bands are always so manufactured - there's always one who can sing (a bit), one with a floppy hair-do, one who looks like a girl and one with an olive or mixed race complexion.

He never speaks let alone sings. He's definitely the quiet one.
Also he has a very similar look to the gay one so get them mixed up.
Still I enjoyed them tonight and thank the Lord the awful Ryan is gone.

You know in the District3 vs Union J sing off at boot camp, you can hear his voice and it's actually quite nice, they could at least give him a Zayn echo or something, starting to feel a bit sorry for him

no that's George, the one who was put in the group by the producers
definitely the worst singer though, bless him. Seems like a nice guy too 
Every week the entire fanbase prays for a solo and the closest we've got is the Love Story line where Jaymi was singing backup He's got a better voice than George IMO.

He's worth looking at, the only one in the lives this year who has even vaguely caught my eye.
He always suits the clothing they make them wear, which may be similar to what jockey boy used to have on around the stables in winter, so he'll probably feel comfortable in them.

This. OA lso compared him to the fat one from Westlife and Joey Fatone (yes taht is his name and I did not make it up) in N'Sync
Triple J used to have some videos on youtube (before george was added) and JJ did solos in them, and he sounded pretty decent- he's certainly at least on par with George vocal vise so i have no idea why they wont give him any lines to sing on his own!
Perhaps JJ doesn't want to sing solo. He auditioned as part of a group, so it's not as if he was aiming for solo glory and ended being plonked in a group.
On the other hand, Louis does seem to be enforcing a pattern: Jaymi taking the lead and doing some fancy warbling in the background; Josh singing the first verse and another bit later on; George singing a couple of lines in the middle and occasionally strumming a guitar; and JJ looking pretty and joining in.
