Oddly enough (although I'd question your musical taste), I think you're right, but for very different reasons. James Arthur is a serious musician, and X-Factor isn't the place for serious musicians. He's got what he needs out of it in being on the live shows and being noticed, he's probably better off not winning.

He's a better singer than Leon , but he is also less marketable than Michelle Mcmanus.

As a winner it would be a disaster, but for all the people thinking voting for him will spite Cowell, think again, it would only be a disaster for Chris Maloney. Syco write off the inevitable losses against tax, sign the marketable ones anyway, and lose nothing.

Chris gets his ego, which is clearly substantial, battered into tiny pieces and is spat out into obscurity.

No, any of the others would as they are all boring and would make me switch channels if heard on the radio.

I think you're probably right. I think James would fall out with Syco very quickly and have to go his own way.

His attempts at intensity or soul just come off as a growly mumble tbh. I actually find him painful to listen to.
I see James flopping without Cowell's powerhouse behind him, I think he'll sign with Cowell's people if he doesn't win.

Yes, he would be the worst ever winner by a mile. He's the anti-X Factor, utterly charmless.

Christopher is not marketable and does not appeal to a wide enough audience. He would crash and burn very quickly.

He got my vote this weekend purely in protest of the judges , the shows seriously bad manipulation etc.

However, It was one random vote once and was really nothing to do with Christopher's talent.

He can sing, there is no denying that.

He is not the winner.

This it is rather unfortunate because at least Jai was very good.

Probably yes but I can't get excited about that. The public's track record isn't that good in picking winners who will be successful. Mostly those finishing 2,3,4 have done better. I think Chris will win, be dropped by Syco when his contract is up and then fade into oblivion as others before him have done.

I'm not bothered whatever happens and despite what some peple think neither are SC or the producers. At least Chris fans are spending their cash on the phone lines and generating income.

I hope he wins.

It's not like the others won't be snapped up if they are good enough.

But it would make me laugh if he won. Just the thought of him making the final and some really big act having to sing with him is funny enough.

No, would take a lot to beat the arrogance and bitterness of Brookstein. Bloody close though.

Yes def be the worst ever , even worse than McElderrry ,Brokestein or little mix.But in a very strange quirky sort of way ,him being so bad and winning might buck up the producers and the show to be better.

The X Factor this year has been the ZZZZ Factor, they have to stop playing stupid games with really good singers .

I also believe that Ella ,Lucy and other fine singers who left early will be breathing a sigh of relief not to be associated with the tatters of this prog. Going early has done them a favour.

It really doesn't matter how Christopher is getting the votes. I wish some people on this forum would understand that. The fact is Christopher is getting the votes and earned the right to be on that show more than anyone else via the democratic process.

It is THE PEOPLE who vote. He is the peoples champion.

This.

People who want him to win as a protest vote are only hurting Chris. Cowell doesn't give a rats arse who wins, he'll promote who he wants to regardless of the public vote and the only person hurt is Chris who thinks this is the beginning of his career but ends up on the scrapheap before Easter and will spend the rest of his days being bitter and twisted on Twitter a la Brookstein

I couldn't agree more. I know Chris has his fans but as is evidenced from this very forum some people are voting to try to hurt Cowell not particularly because they like Chris.
Those people are as bad as the audience who boo him in my opinion, its quite cruel to have him believe he will be a bigger success than he will after the show.
