Its not, Its an entertainment show with the mask of a singing contest.

I mean really come on if it was a real singing contest they wouldnt have put acts like Chico S2, MacDonald Brothers S3, Eoghan S5, Jedward S6, Wanger and Diva Fever S7 Rylan S9 into the live shows over other artists who could sing a whole lot better than them.
Well simon does need to look at why x factor this year has not done well

Would Christopher Maloney Make The Worst Ever Winner In The History Of The X Factor
Well let's see who we have to choose from:

Steve Brookstein
Shayne Ward
Leona Lewis
Leon Jackson
Alexandra Burke
Joe McElderry
Matt Cardle
Little Mix

Hmm... I would have thought Leon would be the biggest flop amongst that lot.

Contestants who would probably never have made it past boot camp in prior series who are now finalists probably hasn't helped either.
I notice you omit Gary? Any reason aside from him being Chris' mentor? He's no better than the others with his comments to Rylan.

Leon Jackson is easily the worst winner of XF.

That will remain the case regardless of what happens this year.

Maloney may not be a great XF contestant but is he any worse than the likes of Mary Byrne?

He can sing but he should be doing musicals which is what he is suited too.

As much as I can't stand being told how to vote I do think enough is enough now.
Chris coming fourth would be a good achievement and maybe open some doors for him but he is not the winner. I despair at all these folk voting to spite someone ... I also feel abit uncomfortable for Chris now , he seems so hated by everyone involved with the show and that must be hard to take.

Rylan is gone , Chris next and then we may still have a show worth saving.
Rylan was much loved nobody had a bad word against him , chris it's the opposite for him

I love the lead in, especially the BIB!

'Will cruise-ship crooner Chris Maloney kill The X Factor?
What does Maloney's X Factor success prove? When you invent a show any fool can win, you can't moan if they do

All winners beat everyone else in their year so he would be on a par with any of them.
